On3's No. 8 OT Kelvin Obot ready to go see several of his favorite schools

On3’s No. 8 offensive tackle Kelvin Obot tells On3 he has set several spring visits.
The Fruitland (Idaho) High blue-chipper is going to be all over the map beginning in the Midwest.
“I start with Wisconsin on the March 19th to the 21st,” Obot said. “Then I will head to Detroit where I will be going to Michigan State for a couple days and then Michigan for a couple.
“From there I am headed to Tennessee until the 29th, and that is it for March. Then on April 18-20 I will be at Utah, and lastly USC from the 25th to 26th.”
On3 tabs the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Obot as the nation’s No. 8 offensive tackle and No. 39 prospect overall.
When coaches hit the road to recruit in January, Tennessee was one of the first ones in to see Obot sending tight ends coach Alec Abeln.

One of Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith’s initial stops was to check in on Obot..
Michigan went out twice with offensive line coach Grant Newsome checking in both times and head coach Sherrone Moore coming on the latter visit.
Utah was one of the first major offers for Obot and Kyle Whittingham saw him while on the road.
USC is recruiting Obot as hard as any player on the board. He’s been to the Trojans campus and enjoyed his recent time spent at the school with head coach Lincoln Riley.
Besides the programs mentioned, Obot has shown strong interest in Nebraska and Oregon.
