ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit has released his seven top performing players of Week 4. The country saw some dominant performances across its entertaining slate of games over the weekend. Herbstreit’s list is headlined by four quarterbacks and also includes three wide receivers.

Herbstreit’s top performers from Week 4

1. Casey Thompson, Texas quarterback: Thompson tops Herbstreit’s list of top Week 4 performers after Texas put up 70 points on Texas Tech. Thompson was 18 of 23 in the game with 303 passing yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. He also had 29 yards and a score on the ground. Texas is now 3-1 on the season.

2. Jameson Williams, Alabama wide receiver: Williams made his mark in Week 4 on special teams, and his historic performance caught the eyes of Herbstreit. Williams became the first player in Alabama history to return two kicks for a touchdown. He also had an 81-yard touchdown reception, and his explosiveness was clearly on display all game. Alabama defeated Southern Miss 63-14 to improve to 4-0.

3. Treylon Burks, Arkansas wide receiver: Arkansas left Week 4 with a perfect 4-0 record after beating Texas A&M 20-10. Burks had a big game, hauling in six passes for 167 yards and a touchdown, averaging 27.8 yards per reception. He also had a 14-yard rush in the win. Burks is currently the SEC’s second-leading receiver, and he shared the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week honors in Week 4.

4. Jayden Reed, Michigan State wide receiver: Like Williams, Reed made his mark in both the passing game and on special teams. Reed caught four passes for 59 yards and a touchdown in Michigan State’s 23-20 win over Nebraska. But he also returned a punt 62 yards for a touchdown. Additionally, Reed averaged 34.5 yards on two kick returns. His versatility and explosiveness land him Week 4 honors from Herbstreit. Reed’s two touchdowns were the only two of the day for the Spartans.

5. Emory Jones, Florida quarterback: Jones is one of the top dual threat quarterbacks in the nation, and that was on display in Florida’s 38-14 victory over Tennessee. In the win, Jones was 21 of 27 for 209 yards and two touchdowns, adding 144 yards on 15 rushing attempts. Jones shared SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors with Burks. The big performance from Jones led Florida to its third win of the season.

6. Jeff Sims, Georgia Tech quarterback: Georgia Tech blew out North Carolina in Week 4. Sims had a monster day in the victory, earning him Week 4 honors from Herbstreit. In the win, Sims was 10 of 13 with 112 passing yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns in the 45-22 victory.

7. Malik Cunningham, Louisville quarterback: Cunningham is yet another dual threat quarterback that earned Week 4 honors from Herbstreit. In Louisville’s 31-23 win over Florida State, Cunningham was 25 of 29 for 264 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 56 yards and two scores on 14 carries. Louisville now sits at 3-1 on the season.
