Four-star Los Alamitos (Calif.) St. John Bosco wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. is one of the top commitments in a what currently stands as Louisville’s best recruiting class ever.

But a few programs, including both Georgia and Texas, have been chipping away Moore, who pledged to the Cardinals in May. This weekend, he was on campus in Athens for his official visit as the Bulldogs’ took down No. 1 Tennessee 27-13 in front of a raucous crowd at Sanford Stadium.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder is one of Georgia’s top flip targets, and the Bulldogs would like to add Moore to a receiver group that already includes four-star Lakeland (Fla.) wideout Tyler Williams and Milton (Fla.) pass-catcher Raymond Cottrell.

In addition to his visit to Athens, Moore is scheduled to take an official visit to Texas next weekend when the Longhorns host TCU.

DeAndre Moore Jr. Scouting Summary

“Quick wide receiver with the burst to create separation and pick up yards after the catch. Measured at around 5-foot-11, 190 pounds prior to his senior season. Has strong long speed, running a wind-legal 10.90 in the 100 meters as a junior. Transferred to Los Alamitos High in California for his junior season, teaming up with fellow blue-chips quarterback Malachi Nelson and wide receiver Makai Lemon. Worked both outside and in the slot, but looks most like a slot long-term.

… Uses his burst to quickly get upfield after the catch. Shows good contact balance with the ability to bounce out of and break tackles at the second level. Has the ball skills and coordination to finish through contact. Picks up yards as a rusher on speed sweeps. Also plays defensive back for Los Alamitos. Primarily utilized on short passes as a junior, averaging 14.5 yards per catch. Not as productive as some of his fellow touted wide receivers to date. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
