LOOK: Texas A&M four-star CB commit Bravion Rogers re-affirms commitment
Amidst Texas A&M‘s on-field struggles and increasing pressure on Jimbo Fisher, a number of commits have been exploring options elsewhere. Denton (Tex.) Ryan five-star linebacker Anthony Hill backed off his pledge to the Aggies just last week and there are rumors of others joining him. One commit Texas A&M won’t have to worry about is 2023 La Grange (Tex.) High four-star cornerback Bravion Rogers, the Aggies’ second-highest ranked commit in the class.
The top-50 prospect, who ranks as the No. 6 cornerback in the country, re-affirmed his commitment to the Aggies late Tuesday night, with a thumbs up emoji signifying “Gig ‘Em” and a gif signifying ghat he’s locked in.
Rogers had made a weekend visit to Texas this past weekend and the Longhorns had been increasing their pursuit of him along with schools like LSU, Alabama and TCU. Now it appears his recruitment is closed for good, and he’s expected to sign his National Letter of Intent to Texas A&M next month during the Early Signing Period.
The four-star committed to Texas A&M back in April, but backed off that commitment in August in order to explore other options. Instead, just weeks later after visiting College Station three straight weekends in a row, he re-committed to the Aggies alongside his friend 2023 Austin (Tex.) Westlake four-star offensive lineman TJ Shanahan.
“It just felt like home, and I would not want to go anywhere else really,” Rogers told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “I have a great relationship with coach Rushing and Jimbo (Fisher). They are just going to keep it real with you and they are cool guys to be around.”
Since re-joining the class back in September, Rogers has frequently returned back to College Station. He’s been in attendance for nearly every game at Kyle Field this season and has been peer recruiting others to join him in Aggieland.
Rogers’ senior season came to an end just last weekend as his La Grange team fell 41-21 in the first round of the playoffs to Madisonville (Tex.) High. He finished the season with 492 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns offensively, along with 22 tackles, one interception and one blocked field goal defensively in ten games.

Has the long speed and hip fluidity to stay in phase as well as the ball skills to win at the catch point. Lacks ideal height and length. Needs to clean up his footwork and hand placement in press, but is easily fixable with collegiate coaching. High upside prospect due to his lack of development in positional traits along with his high level movement skills.
