Both LSU and Michigan are on byes this week, meaning the respective coaching staffs are able to hit the road and recruit around the country.

Nashville is the destination for both Tigers quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan and Wolverines QBs coach Kirk Campbell on Thursday night, as they’re among those that are in to see Brentwood Academy five-star quarterback George MacIntyre.

On Oct. 9, the 6-foot-5.5, 185-pounder trimmed his recruitment down to 10 schools, including LSU and Michigan, as well as Alabama, Auburn, FIU, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee and UCLA. MacIntyre ranks as the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 2 QB in the 2025 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking.

“Coach Sloan, he’s one of the best out there. He’s a great recruiter, great coach, great guy,” MacIntyre told On3 in September. “And I’ve really enjoyed being at LSU. I’ve got a couple friends down there now that are also recruits and a couple are committed. It’s been great going down there and I’ve talked to Coach Kelly quite a bit. It’s kind of a family feel with their staff.”

This weekend, MacIntyre is scheduled to get out to California to visit UCLA. He has also made stops at Alabama, Florida International and Tennessee. The Crimson Tide currently have the lead for the elite QB, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

MacIntyre has an On3 NIL Valuation of $321K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

George MacIntyre Scouting Summary

“Measured in at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds during summer campus visits. George MacIntyre- Tall signal caller with strong projectable tools as a passer and playmaker. Measured in at around 6-foot-5.5, 185 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand prior to his junior season. Has a tall, wiry build that should continue to fill out over time. Touts a tight, compact throwing motion with little moving parts. The release is whippy quick. Flashes good arm strength, with the ability to flick passes out to the boundary and downfield. Mechanical foundation points to a baseline level of accuracy. A bouncy, light-footed mover within the pocket. Avoids pressure in the backfield, stepping up in the pocket. Capable of making high-level second-reaction plays. Has strong improvisational skills.

…Shows a long stride in the open field. Doubles as a high-level high school basketball player and received high major looks as an underclassman. Plays a tough schedule, but does not have the production or efficiency typical of an elite quarterback prospect. High school team struggled in his junior season. Will need to continue making strides as a player on Friday night and adding weight to his frame, but has the potential to be one of the top quarterbacks to come out of the 2025 cycle.”
