LSU’s search for a 2026 quarterback commitment continues, and the Tigers have now entered the recruitment of Murrieta Valley (Calif.) four-star Bryson Beaver.

Brian Kelly and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan extended an offer to Beaver, which comes less than a week after their top target, Bowe Bentley, chose to commit to Oklahoma. Now the Tigers will turn their focus to Beaver, who has seen his stock explode in recent weeks.

Previously committed to Boise State, he backed off his pledge to the Broncos earlier this month ahead of the Elite 11 Finals. Since then, Oregon, LSU, Ole Miss and others have entered the picture.

He took an official visit to Eugene this past weekend, as the Ducks are also in search of their 2026 quarterback. Both Ole Miss and Alabama hosted him for unofficials prior to his breakout performance at the Elite 11 Finals.

Beaver finished in the top-three of On3’s Top Performers list, showing off one of the strongest arms at the event. Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote this about him:

“Beaver entered the Elite 11 Finals as one of the hottest quarterbacks in the country. He was exceptional at his Elite 11 regional, received offers from Oregon, Ole Miss, and Alabama in a matter of days, and backed off his commitment to Boise State. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder validated his status as an off-season riser with his showing at the Elite 11 Finals. Beaver looked like one of the more talented prospects on hand. We felt his arm took a backseat to nobody in attendance. The Southern California native has explosive arm power that effortlessly delivers from multiple slots and platforms.

… Aside from perhaps Dia Bell, no other Elite 11 Finalist is a more creative passer. While others may have been more consistent over the three days, we didn’t see anyone make more high-level throws. Beaver put it all together on Day 3, turning in perhaps the most impressive 7-on-7 session we saw, making several big-time passes while throwing for five touchdowns and zero interceptions. Currently a four-star prospect for On3, Beaver is primed to debut inside the inaugural Rivals300 ranking in July.”

Beaver is coming off a terrific junior season where he completed over 66 percent of his passes for 3,214 yards and 33 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He added 411 yards rushing and six more scores. The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, tabs him as the nation’s No. 55 QB.

On3, however, is much higher on him in its own rankings. There, he checks in as a the nation’s No. 19 passer.
