According to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr, these are the top quarterbacks heading into the 2022 NFL draft.

Malik Willis, Liberty –

Willis was one of Kiper’s top quarterbacks heading into the season, and for good reason too. Last year for the Flames he completed 170 of 265 passes for 2260 yards over 11 games. He also had 20 touchdowns to six interceptions as well. And so far this year he has elevated his game even further. He currently is 63-88 for a 71.6 completion ratio. Willis is responsible for 1092 yards of offense, 818 passing, and 274 rushing, and has a total of 14 touchdowns on the season. He And liberty have a record of 3-1 right now.

 Matt Corral, Ole Miss –

Ole Miss Has one of the best offenses in the nation led by junior Matt Corral. Corral is another dual-threat quarterback who is putting up big numbers this season and looking good while he’s doing it. he is currently credited with 1155 yards on offense, 14 touchdowns (9 passing, 5 rushing), and has yet to commit a turnover on the season. And a win over the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend could solidify him as the front runner for the Heisman Trophy this year.

 Spencer Rattler, Oklahoma –

Rattler has gone from consensus number one overall pick in this year’s upcoming draft and Heisman frontrunner to questioning his status as the starting quarterback for the Sooners. this year Oklahoma’s offense has not looked particularly good with Rattler running it. In the last two games against Power 5 opponents, the Sooners offense is averaging just 19.5 points per game. and Rattler is averaging 235 yards through the air and a touchdown in each game.

4. Sam Howell, North Carolina –

Howell And the North Carolina Tar Heels started off the season with an ugly loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies. He threw three interceptions in that game which was the most ever in a single game in his college career. Since then he is thrown 10 touchdowns and only one additional interception.

5. Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati –

The leader behind Cincinnati’s balanced offense, Ridder has led the Bearcats to a No 7 AP ranking and a 3-0 start. On the season he is 54 of 83 for 748 yards and seven passing touchdowns. But he could stand to clean up the mistakes. He has thrown four interceptions and he’s facing a Norte Dame team that took two back against Wisconsin.

6. Kenny Pickett, Pitt –

Pickett has looked unstoppable in the Panther’s first four games. He is top 10 in yards with 1342 and tied for second in the nation with his 15 touchdown passes. But his season-best six touchdowns came weeks ago in a losing effort against Western Michigan. Regardless of who the competition is on the other side of the field the senior from Oakhurst New Jersey has gotten the better of them.

7. Carson Strong, Nevada –

Strong has the Nevada Wolfpack sitting at 2-1. He had two nice performances in the team’s first two games against California and Idaho State. But in last week’s game against a power 5 defense in Kansas State, he struggled to move the ball down. we will get another chance to see how he fares against tougher opponents, as the Wolfpack is set to take on Boise State Saturday.

8. Tanner McKee, Stanford –

McKee Has fared better than the Stanford Cardinals record shows at 2-2 He is 69 of 102 passing attempts on the season with 863 yards. His touchdown to interception ratio currently sits at 8-0. McKee has done a good job so far taking care of the football this year, but next week opponent the Oregon Ducks have a defense capable of changing that.

9. Jayden Daniels, Arizona State –

Daniels is a peer athlete at the quarterback position. His running ability makes him a threat on every play. But he needs to sharpen his Play at the quarterback position to see his name higher on this list. So far on the season, he is 69 of 95 attempts for 808 yards. But his touchdown to interception ratio is 2-3 in favor of the opposing team’s defense.

10a. Kedon Slovis, USC –

junior quarterback Kelvin Slovis has had a season filled with highs and lows. He found himself getting replaced by freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart after a poor performance in a loss against Stanford in Week 2. However, he finds himself back in the starting lineup after the freshman went down for this season with a knee injury. Right now on the season is 59-93 for 586 yards. But has four touchdowns and four interceptions on the season.

10b. Phil Jurkovec, Boston College-

The Golden Eagles currently use a two-quarterback system, with senior quarterback Dennis Grosel taking most of the snaps. However, junior quarterback Phil Jurkovec has looked the better passer of the two. Currently, he has 325 yards passing on the season with three touchdowns and no interceptions. We have yet to see what he can do with 100% of the snap this season. But so far he’s helped lead Boston College to a 4-0 start with decent play.
