Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy four-star small forward Micah Robinson is down to eight schools, he tells On3.

Moving forward, the 6-foot-6, 200-pound rising senior will consider Alabama, Cal, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech, and Virginia Tech.

Robinson has only officially visited one of his finalists thus far — TCU. He also plans to take official visits to LSU, Virginia Tech, and Mississippi State this fall.

Robinson broke down his thoughts on TCU in a previous interview with On3.

TCU: “It is the school right around the corner from my house. They’re doing really well this season and are an up-and-coming program. The coach told me I can go there and be a huge part of what they’re trying to build. I talk the most with coach (Duane) Broussard there. They tend to play with a hybrid-four or even four guards at times, so being able to be at that three or four spot with my versatility, I think I would fit in well with their system.”

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Robinson is the No. 88 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 29 small forward prospect and the No. 5 player in the state of Texas. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Scouting Report

“Micah Robinson is a connective player. A wing forward who has a strong frame and explosive burst and enjoys doing the dirty work. Robinson is a multi-positional defender, able to slide his feet on defense, use his length in the passing lanes, or his strength to switch down and guard some fours. He is a good passer in transition, and he moves the ball well in the half-court. He can handle the ball in straight lines and attacks the rim with a purpose. Robinson needs to continue developing the jump shot, which is streaky right now. He also needs to work on his counters off the bounce and develop some more creativity in his handle. All in all, Robinson is a guy who fits in a lot of different roles and makes players around him better on both sides of the floor.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
