One of the nation’s best tight ends has gone cross-country to the West Coast this weekend.

Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh four-star tight end Andrew Olesh is visiting Oregon today for the Ducks’ game against Illinois, he announced on social media.

Olesh has been committed to Michigan since July 8, when he chose the Wolverines over AlabamaFlorida and Penn State. He took official visits to each of those schools, plus Michigan. Since his commitment, Olesh has returned to Ann Arbor and Tuscaloosa. An official visit to Notre Dame is scheduled for Nov. 9.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Olesh is the nation’s No. 71 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 tight end and No. 2 recruit from Pennsylvania in the class.

On3 is especially high on Olesh. He ranks No. 47 overall in the 2025 On300.

More on Olesh’s commitment to Michigan

Tight ends coach Steve Casula played a major role in Olesh’s decision to pledge to the Maize and Blue.

“One of the main reasons why I chose Michigan is because of coach Casula – who is a great coach – coach Moore and coach Kirk Campbell, the offensive coordinator,” Olesh told On3 in July. “They’re all great guys I’ve built relationships with. The path to playing time at Michigan caught my attention as well… I like the environment there and being around the players. Going into my OVs, I wanted to be around the players and experience a school’s environment. Talking to all the guys at Michigan got me more into Michigan.”

He also cited his relationship with head coach Sherrone Moore.

“He is one of the very few coaches who would text me every single day,” Olesh said. “He’d call me to check in. He’s not only about football, but he’s also a guy who I can connect with on a family level. He’s almost like a family member to me. We get along. Him calling me and texting me a lot was important. When I was there in the spring, I saw him coach up the players really well. I like the way he does it.”
