Eden Prairie (Minn.) three-star defensive lineman Mo Saine announced that he has committed to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He announced the news on Twitter.

Saine’s decision to commit to Minnesota comes just over a week after the Golden Gophers extended him an offer. He also visited campus last October.

Saine is the No. 725 overall prospect and No. 75 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Minnesota.

With his commitment, Minnesota has landed a pair of commitments over the last two days. Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal School three-star safety Zahir Rainer committed to the Golden Gophers on April 13.

Mo Saine currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $17.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Saine adds to Minnesota’s 2024 class

Minnesota signed 21 recruits during the 2023 cycle finishing with the No. 47 class in the country and the No. 10 class in the Big Ten. The Golden Gophers are under halfway to the total already.

With Saine’s commitment, Minnesota now has 10 commitments in its 2024 class with nine of those commitments ranked as three-star prospects. The class ranks as the No. 31 class in the country and the No. 8 class in the Big Ten.

The Golden Gopher’s eight other commitments aside from Saine and Rainer are Savage (Minn.) Prior Lake defensive lineman Jide Abasiri, Kindred (N.D.) interior offensive lineman Riley Sunram, Brownsburg (Ind.) wide receiver Corey Smith, Gaylord (Mich.) linebacker Brady Pretzlaff, Detroit Lakes (Minn.) linebacker Mason Carrier, Kankakee (Ill.) Bishop McNamara running back Jaydon Wright, Clearwater (Fla.) Clearwater Academy International wide receiver Dallas Sims and Hugo (Minn.) Hill Murray School athlete Simon Seidl.
