The 2021 NBPA Top 100 Camp is loaded with talent, despite a roster cut down to 60 due to the pandemic.

Wednesday’s skill development and games produced some big time performances, and a national coming out party.

While the 2022 class received the majority of invites, it was a 2023 guard that took home the top performer on day 1.

Top Performers

SG Caleb Foster (Oak Hill Academy, VA), 2023

The 6-foot-5 was the best player on the floor in the game setting Wednesday. First, Foster is a three level scorer that is a shot maker. When the shoulders are square, he’s a knock down shooter from 22-23 feet. Second, he adds strong rebounding from the guard spot and feel for the game. Nothing is rushed. The game moves slow for him. An active player that doesn’t waste motion. The offer list includes Virginia, Stanford, Illinois, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. That list will grow significantly in the coming weeks. Foster grew up in the Tar Heel State a Duke fan, but is open to leaving the home state for college.

Foster averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals on 10-18 FG’s (5-11 from three) in the two games.

CG Cason Wallace (Richardson, TX), 2022

The 6-foot-3 guard looked every bit of his five-star ranking at NBPA Top 100 Camp. Wallace on competes on both ends, on every possession. His ascending perimeter game has taken his offensive game to another level. As a result, his game off the bounce is more dangerous as a crowded guard with subtle quickness. Wallace competes defensively, makes the correct play with the ball and has now added shot making. This recruitment is a three team battle between Kentucky, Texas and Tennessee. Kansas is trying to make a late push.

Wallace averaged 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals.

C Baye Fall (Denver Prep Academy), 2023

At 6-foot-10.5 with the ability to rim run, and a high end motor, Fall is headed to a five-star ranking. Fall also showed an impressive handle, coupled with the confidence to face up from 19-21-feet. Blessed with a very high ceiling, the long-limber prospect also proved to be a quick learner. Both in skill development workouts and the games. The offer list includes Kansas, Baylor, Memphis, USC, Illinois, Georgia, Georgetown, South Carolina. Kentucky was among the many closely watching.

Fall average 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 steals on 11 of 23 shooting in the two games.

PF Yohan Traore (Prolific Prep, CA)

The 6-foot-10 Traore blew up in the spring on the AAU circuit in Texas playing for Southern Assault. He has continued in July, and that includes Wednesday. The skill level with a perimeter game out to 22-feet, the ability to rim run and soft hands make him a high end prospect. As a result of the face up game, straight line drive opportunities are created. Tennessee is in line for a September visit. Texas and TCU have already had the native of France on campus. USC, UCLA, Arkansas and Creighton are among the July offers.

Traore averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds in the two games on 10 of 21 shooting.

C Kel’el Ware (North Little Rock, AR)

At 6-foot-11, Ware may be the most skilled big man in the class. While he needs to work on foot quickness, his ability to shoot three, and touch in the paint is uber impressive. On the defensive end, his length changes enough shots to make up for not being a quick second leaper. Arkansas is working to hold off Oregon and Texas in this battle of accomplished head coaches.

Ware average 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.5 blocks on nine of 14 shooting in two Wednesday games.

Always makes the correct play

PG Rowan Brumbaugh (Northfield Mount Hermon, MA)

The 6-foot-4 point has the ball on a string, and always makes the correct play. Furthermore, the game moves slow for him. A combination of quickness and craft allows for penetration against more athletic defenders. When the gym rat begins knocking down three’s more consistently, he becomes a player with career possibilities in basketball. Kansas and Texas have recently offered. Virginia and Duke are interested. He made June visits to Northwestern, Georgetown, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Georgetown is walking distance from his house.

Surprise, surprise

SG Daniel Skillings (Roman Catholic, PA), 2022

The 6-foot-5 guard headed to Orlando without the fan fare of others in the camp. As a result, his play has changed that in less than twenty four hours after a strong showing at NBPA Top 100 Camp The long-armed guard showed the ability to finish with either hand in traffic. His feel for shielding his body from defenders to finish around the rim turned heads. A very long first step eats up ground, and places a defender in an instant recovery position. He also flashed shot making on the perimeter. N.C. State and Georgia are among the July offers. Virginia head coach Tony Bennett was watching closely this week.
