Serial entrepreneur and NIL U President Grant Frerking will be on the road in early 2022 for the On3 NIL U Campus Tour. Frerking and his team will travel to high school and college campuses across the country speaking to teams and coaches on leadership, personal branding, and NIL education from the standpoint of a current college athlete and entrepreneur.
Since the NIL era began this summer, Frerking has stressed the importance of a high-level, student-athlete-driven education experience to enhance the opportunity to secure NIL deals. One of the leading factors playing into an athlete having a successful NIL portfolio is making themself the most marketable version possible.
The presentation Frerking will be delivering to athletes will include his experience building a business during the recruiting days in high school and continuing through college at the University of Tennessee, where he attends and plays football at. The wide receiver from Atlanta, GA will emphasize the ability to create a brand at a young age and using your platform to grow it, and what effective leadership looks like both on and off the field.
“The NIL education program being crafted by the NIL U team and professionals in the industry is top-notch,” On3 founder, Shannon Terry says. “This tour will not only help its reach but provide students with mentors and resources to guide them through this huge time in their lives”
“Grant has proven his success and is the perfect one to lead this tour series. We are eager to get him on the road and in front of teams to spread knowledge and advice to fellow student-athletes,” Terry adds.
With his experience as an entrepreneur and time with the Tennessee Volunteers, Grant Frerking is an ideal advisor for fellow student-athletes beginning their NIL journeys.
“Sharing my experiences first hand of balancing being a college athlete while also managing businesses is something I am passionate about and cannot wait to share with teams across the country,” says Frerking on the upcoming tour.
“We not only want to see young men and women succeed within the NIL landscape but to develop the next generation of high character leaders.”
