Oklahoma offers Michigan 4-star EDGE commit Kevonte Henry

Los Angeles Leuzinger four-star EDGE Kevonte Henry was the only Michigan commit to not sign during the early singing period.
And he has now earned two offers from two blue blood programs over the last week.
He first earned an offer from Florida last week. And then Wednesday received an offer from Oklahoma.
Henry is the No. 236 overall prospect in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 ranks him much higher, slotting him at No. 96 in the 2022 On300 rankings. That makes him the No. 9 EDGE and No. 6 player from California, according to On3.

“I was intrigued by his junior season that was played during the spring,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said. “Just kind of impressed me there in terms of just the quickness and overall athleticism. We love prospects who play on both sides of the ball, that’s usually pretty predictive. If you look at NFL draft trends, and him playing running back at a high level is certainly good to see. And then this year, I think as a senior, we’ve seen him rush the passer a lot more. The thing that impressed me the most is probably his first step…just his overall quickness off the ball.”
Henry told Gators Online that his Florida offer was done by former USC assistant and current Florida assistant Keary Colbert. He plans on visiting the school in January.
“Honestly, (the offer) really came out of the blue,” Kevonte Henry told Gators Online. “My coach talked to Colbert from USC. He had transferred recently and is over there now. He hit me up and said he heard my name from the staff and that they wanted to offer. I talked to (co-defensive coordinator) coach (Patrick) Toney and then it went on from there.”
