Wynne (Ark.) Cross County four-star defensive lineman Danny Beale has committed to Oklahoma State.

He announced the decision on Wednesday via social media, choosing the Cowboys over the likes of North Carolina, Ole Miss and Missouri.

Beale is the No. 157 overall prospect and No. 16 DL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked prospect in Arkansas.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder becomes the highest-ranked commit in OSU’s 2026 class. Beale named a top eight back in November, whittled things down in the spring, logged his official visits and has now chosen head coach Mike Gundy and the Cowboys.

Back in the fall, Beale told On3’s Chad Simmons about what will factor into his decision:

“Player development is important when I commit. I want to go somewhere that needs me too. I want to get on the field, so I am looking for a school that is not heavy at my position.”

The Cowboys’ class now features 12 total commits. Beale is the lone blue-chipper in the mix and is the second pledge for OSU this month, joining Lexington (Texas) three-star quarterback Kase Evans, who committed on June 8. Evans is the No. 78 signal-caller in the cycle.

Of the 12 commits, four hail from the Sooner State. Jenks (Okla.) three-star running back Kaydin Jones committed at the end of March and is ranked as the No. 29 RB and No. 5 player in Oklahoma. Jones, an Oklahoma legacy, chose OSU over Vanderbilt and others.

“Being an OU legacy and committing to the in-state rival is a surreal feeling,” Jones told On3. “I get to build my own legacy at a new school and get to build something for following generations.”

“I chose Oklahoma State because I have a chance to be the hometown kid everyone loves,” he added. “I have a chance to show kids you don’t have to go somewhere far or big to be a star.”

Gundy and his staff built some early momentum in the spring. Their first nine commits this cycle all came in March and April. Other top commits in the class include: Lancaster (Texas) three-star cornerback Victor Lincoln, Bixby (Okla.) three-star linebacker Trey McGlothlin, Carthage (Mo.) three-star EDGE Landon Bland, Tulsa (Okla.) Berryhill three-star offensive tackle Aiden Martin and Hewitt (Texas) La Vega three-star wide receiver Jabarie Thornton.
