How to watch Oklahoma State vs. Kansas

Time: 9 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN, FuboTV (streaming)
Location: Allen Fieldhouse (Lawrence, Kansas)

At 16-4, Kansas remains as one of the best in the sport as the No. 7 team in the latest AP Poll. Even so, the Jayhawks have not played their best over the past six with a record of 3-3 after starting at 13-1 on the season.

A five-point loss at UCF in their second game in conference play was out of the ordinary. It took a significant second-half comeback, though, which is why there was no reason to panic. Still, since then, they’ve also dropped two more contests, both on the road, to West Virginia, the team that’s currently second to last in the league, and to Iowa State this past weekend.

As for Oklahoma State, securing a win inside Allen Fieldhouse is going to be a tall task. Conference play has been unkind to them with a 1-6 record through seven games to set their record at 9-11.

They lost their first six in the league against teams that are all tournament hopefuls as we head into February. Then, this past weekend, they ended that six-game losing streak with a 70-66 victory over the Mountaineers inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Kansas and Oklahoma State already met this season when they played two weeks ago in Stillwater. The Jayhawks, who were No. 3 in the country at the time, came in and won 90-66 as they shot 62.1% from the field as a team. All five starters for the Jayhawks scored in double figures with C Hunter Dickinson leading the effort with 21 points (9-14 FG) to go with seven rebounds and a pair of blocks.

Kansas needs to get right in a game after splitting their last six contests. That makes this a prime opportunity considering the 24-point margin of victory the last time these two met was one of the larger wins of the Jayhawks season. It’s also crucial to prepare them with No. 4 Houston coming in this weekend for a Top-10 matchup.

Still, there’s no counting anyone out in the Big 12 as Oklahoma State will walk into a difficult environment tonight and look to earn the improbable win in league play.
