Omaha Biliew is the 2023 On3 Consensus No. 12 ranked player. Since middle school, the 6-foot-8 forward has been a national name and this past year helped lead Branson (MO) Link Academy to the Final Four of the Geico National Championships.

“I’ve been working on tightening up my handle,” Biliew told On3. “I’m learning the game more, more game-like situations during workouts, and a lot of shooting repetitions. I am starting to get a feel for who I am. I’m taking bits and pieces from everyone’s game. My favorite players to watch are Jayson Tatum, Giannis, Kevin Durant, and Paul George. I just love watching basketball.”

On March 18, On3’s Joe Tipton announced the five-star was down to four options Oregon, Iowa State, Kansas, and the G-League. On3 caught up with Omaha Biliew this weekend to talk about the final options and his decision.

“I don’t have any visits set yet,” Biliew said. “For right now, I’d like to visit Iowa State and probably Kansas because they’re closer.”

Biliew talks recruitment

Iowa State: What stands out about them is their environment, their underdog environment. I love the way TJ (Otzelberger) comes to work every day and his mindset. That’s what stood out to me the most: the way they work and their toughness and grit. I love that about him. That relates to me so much.

Kansas: (Bill) Self obviously just won another national championship. I just love the platform I’m on if I go there. Just the platform to play against Duke and other schools. They also said I could play the three if I came, and I’d be more open to playing my game.

Oregon: [Portland] is my favorite city. I’ve been there a lot. It’s the first city I went to on a flight. Dana Altman is a real dude. He’s going to tell you what’s real and not BS you. It’s beautiful up in Portland.

The G-League

“I have talked with the G-League,” Biliew said. “Just knowing that your dreams are right there, playing in the league. I watch a lot of Kobe documentaries, and he said he aspired to be with the best, the pros, and if you want to be a pro, you have to be where the pros are. I’ve always wanted to be a pro. If I want to take that option, I will, but I’m leaning more towards the college route right now. I have not visited them yet, but that’s the one thing I will do soon. I’m going to get some more information on them soon, but they are right there. We have a relationship.”

Biliew’s take

“The deciding factor for me is whatever I feel comfortable with,” Biliew said. “I want to go somewhere where I can come in and produce right away and experience the most fun, college atmosphere.”

On3’s take

Biliew is a physical presence as his frame looks like a college upperclassman. He has great length and is a good, functional athlete. Biliew is still learning how to use his physical traits to impact a game. When he is at his best, Biliew is a switch-able defender between wings and forwards, and he is rebounding at a high rate. Offensively, Biliew has touch, and he can knock down a three, but he is still not all the way comfortable handling and creating on the perimeter. There is some of that in his game, and he shows flashes, but that is something he will need to work on. Right now, Biliew is a defensive-minded four-man. It will be interesting to see how his perimeter skills tighten over the summer to see where his game goes. He needs to have a consistent summer and continue growing in his game; the upside is there, along with the tools.

Biliew’s On3 NIL Valuation

2023 five-star Omaha Biliew’s current On3 NIL Valuation is $22,000. This valuation ranks Biliew 35th in high school basketball, with a projection of $347 per post across all social media.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college-level athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a specific moment in time.

The On3 NIL Valuation is comprised of many dynamic data points that focus on three primary categories: social media, athletic performance, and endorsements and collectives.
