Each week, On3 selects coordinators of the week from each Power Five conference.

Our choices for Week 4:

ACC — Andrew Thacker, Georgia Tech DC

Georgia Tech posted 10 tackles for loss, eight sacks, five takeaways and two fourth-down stops in a 30-16 win over Wake Forest. Of the Demon Deacons’ final 10 drives, six ended with either a turnover or turnover on downs. Thacker held Wake, which scored 36 points in a win over Vanderbilt two weeks ago, to just nine points through the game’s first 54 minutes.

Big Ten — Mike Bajakian, Northwestern OC

A key component of Northwestern overcoming an early 21-0 deficit and pulling off a 37-34 upset win over Minnesota was the Wildcats’ offense. Northwestern finished with 492 yards and five touchdowns against a typically stout Golden Gophers defense. It was the most points a team other than Penn State or Ohio State has scored against Minnesota since 2020.

Big 12 — Collin Klein, Kansas State OC

Despite QB Will Howard being banged-up and limited, Kansas State accumulated 536 yards and six touchdowns in a 44-31 win over UCF. After UCF took a 24-21 lead early in the third quarter, the Wildcats pulled away with 24 unanswered points. Running back DJ Giddens’ 293 yards from scrimmage was the third-most in a single game in program history.

Pac-12 — Ben Arbuckle, Washington State OC

Arbuckle helped Washington State secure its second top-20 win in the last three games. Led by Arbuckle, the Cougars posted 528 yards in a 38-35 win over No. 14 Oregon State. Washington State QB Cam Ward threw for 404 yards with five total touchdowns and no interceptions.

Pac-12 — Tosh Lupoi, Oregon DC

Lupoi helped Oregon limit to Colorado to 199 yards in a 42-6 win over Deion Sanders and the No. 19 Buffaloes. Until a late garbage time touchdown, Colorado was scoreless and had just 101 yards of total offense. Oregon finished with seven sacks of Buffaloes star QB Shedeur Sanders.

Pac-12 — Morgan Scalley, Utah DC

Scalley and his defense scored as many points as it allowed during Utah’s 14-7 win over five-star freshman QB Dante Moore and No. 22 UCLA. The Utes held the Bruins to 243 yards, limited them to 4 of 21 on third and fourth downs, recorded seven sacks and posted two takeaways, including an early pick-six.

SEC — Kevin Steele, Alabama DC

During Alabama’s 24-10 win over No. 15 Ole Miss, Steele held Lane Kiffin to the lowest regular season point of his four seasons as the Rebels’ head coach. Ole Miss had just three points in the final three quarters. The Crimson Tide tallied 10 tackles for loss and five sacks.
