Frisco (Texas) Reedy four-star interior offensive lineman Max Anderson released his top 12 schools on Feb. 10. One of the programs to make that list was Michigan.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Wolverines have a commanding lead for Anderson’s commitment at 89.8% following an expert prediction from On3’s Sam Spiegelman. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound recruit was in Ann Arbor recently and will return for an official visit on the weekend of June 17.

“I’m dropping a Top 8 soon and they’ll be in there,” Anderson told EJ Holland of The Wolverine on March 13. “It’s pretty obvious why. The offensive line has always been so good. Winning back-to-back Joe Moore Awards has never been done, so I like that aspect.”

“Coach (Sherrone) Moore has come down to my school two times,” he also shared. “My coaches and I really like him and respect him a lot. We’re slowly building this relationship up. He’s a really nice and respectable person. If I don’t respect a guy, I’m not going to play as well for him. I could see myself playing really hard for Coach Moore.”

Anderson is the No. 176 overall prospect and No. 9 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 30 player in Texas.

Michigan currently has seven players in its 2024 recruiting class. The Wolverines’ group is led by Harper Woods (Mich.) four-star safety Jacob Oden, the No. 163 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also the No. 4 player in Michigan.

Right now, Michigan’s class is No. 10 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. If head coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff land Anderson and some of their other top targets, the Wolverines will certainly climb up that list.

In addition to Anderson, Michigan is leading on the RPM for Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller four-star running back Jordan Marshall, Rochester (Mich.) four-star tight end Brady Prieskorn and Austin (Texas) Vandegrift four-star interior offensive lineman Blake Frazier among others.

Davis is a top-20 prospect, while Marshall and Prieskorn are ranked in the top 75 of the Industry Ranking. Meanwhile, Anderson and Frazier are two of the top players at their respective positions.
