One of the nation’s most dynamic second-level defenders in the country has set a commitment date.

Keylan Moses, the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 19-ranked LB in the nation out of Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab, will reveal his college decision on November 30, his 17th birthday.

LSU, Florida and Oregon are among the teams that Moses will choose from next month. Florida State, Texas A&M and Alabama are other schools that have long been in pursuit of the On300 linebacker from The Boot.

“These teams I’m looking at are the only teams sticking out to me, nobody else is sticking out like them,” Moses told On3 a bit earlier this month. “Nobody is building relations better, getting that close and are up there with them. I like how their seasons are going, how they’re reaching out, and the relationships they’re building with me … the list is narrowing down with that.

“You can tell since August — schools that genuinely text you, have good conversations with them in the morning, and that’s how my day starts every day. I appreciate those things.”

Moses is coming off another game-day visit to LSU

Moses was back in Tiger Stadium earlier this month when LSU hosted Auburn for a Saturday night clash in Death Valley.

After taking in another LSU game alongside his mother and little brother Manny, Moses told On3 that he was moving closer toward making his college decision.

“Knowing I’ve grown up watching LSU, it hits differently every time,” Moses said. “This weekend in particular, I was focused on building relationships with more of the players, the recruits that were there … It was a big recruiting weekend for them, so building relationships with the guys and seeing where their heads were at, how their recruitments are going, and I made a lot of friends.”

Moses is set to return to the Swamp in November

Before making a decision, the four-star Louisiana LB will get another look at Florida. Moses is set to be in Gainesville on November 4 for a visit with his family.

Gators assistants Corey Raymond and Mike Peterson are both heavily involved in Moses’ recruitment. As is head coach Billy Napier, who has made a splash or two in the Boot during his tenure in the Swamp.

“I’ve been to Florida a few times and guys like Trevor Etienne and Montrell Johnson, those are Louisiana guys so why wouldn’t I be cool with them,” he said.

“It’s gonna be a hard decision. I’m gonna lean on God for it,” Moses said. “He’s led me in the right direction since Day 1, and I know for sure it will be very special.”
