Windsor (Conn.) The Loomis Chaffee School offensive tackle Olaus Alinen has been a revelation on the recruiting trail over the past year. Originally from Finland, Alinen moved to the United States before his junior season. And he has opened eyes across the country since then.

On Tuesday, he locked in four official visits for this summer, also cementing which schools currently stand at the top of his recruitment. Alinen will make four trips in the month of June, seeing Miami (June 3-5), Alabama (June 10-12), Georgia (June 17-19) and Ohio State (June 24-26).

The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder included each of those four in his top schools list last month.

“With these four schools, I feel I can’t go wrong,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons. “The official visits with my family in the summer will have a big impact on my commitment. Right now, I really like all four school. And I am down to what schools I feel the most confident in and most comfortable at.

“…I am ready to show each school to my family, get their opinions, and try to make my decision.”

Alabama standing atop the list for Olaus Alinen

As it stands today, Alabama holds a significant lead to land Alinen, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). It gives the Crimson Tide a 65.7 percent chance of securing his commitment, with Ohio State trailing behind at 26.1 percent.

He could potentially make one more official visit, but expects to make his commitment late this summer before his senior season begins.

Alinen is currently unranked by the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. However, the Industry Comparison shows On3 is much higher on him than the other three major recruiting sites. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 229 overall prospect and No. 19 offensive tackle.
