Oran “Manman” Singleton is one of several players competing at the inside wide receiver spot on the West Virginia roster and brings a unique skill set.

Singleton spent last season at Eastern Michigan, where he had 64 catches for 639 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to that, he was at Hutchinson C.C. and Akron

But there’s a West Virginia connection that’s because inside wide receivers coach Logan Bradley worked under Singleton’s former position coach, Grant Heard, when he was a student assistant.

“He was like ‘I’m telling you he’s a chill guy but he’s very smart,” Bradley recalled.

Bradley quickly realized once he started coaching Singleton that he was very intelligent and was able to get on the board and draw up every single position and their responsibilities.

“But when you think he’s not doing nothing, he’s doing something. He knows the playbook like the back of his hand, I’m proud of him,” Bradley said.

On top of his intelligence, Singleton also brings a good skill set as a polished route runner that can do a lot of different things on the football field.

“His route running is special. When he’s on, he’s on. He can, any moment, make a route just look special,” Bradley said.

And Singleton will have the chance to prove how he fits into the picture at the Power Four level in his final season at the college level.
