Ohio State Five-Star Plus+ CB commit Na'eem Offord visits Oregon

All eyes are on Eugene on Saturday night as Oregon takes on Ohio State.
From a recruiting standpoint, this is a massive weekend for the Ducks as a slew of elite prospects in the 2025 and 2026 cycles are in attendance. Perhaps the most notable name in Autzen Stadium is Birmingham (Ala.) Parker Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na’eem Offord.
Committed to Ohio State since Feb. 4, Offord is doing something not often seen by recruits, visiting another school that’s hosting the program he’s currently pledged to.
The Ducks have been in the mix for the blue-chipper and will look to make a major splash by beating the Buckeyes. Offord is taking in the game alongside a pair of Oregon defensive back commits in five-star safety Trey McNutt and four-star CB Dorian Brew.
While he remains committed to Ohio State entering Saturday night, Offord has been pressed hard by Oregon, as well as in-state Auburn. When speaking with On3’s Josh Newberg earlier this week, Oregon insider Justin Hopkins liked where the Ducks stood for Offord heading into the weekend.
“Auburn and Oregon have been two schools that have been frequently mentioned for Offord for quite some time and I feel like that’s more of the battle than Ohio State keeping him at this point,” Hopkins said. “I think the Ducks have done a really good job there laying in the weeds, and I know Auburn made a really big push and was gaining a lot of momentum there, but I think Oregon’s quietly been in a really good spot for Offord, and he’s really been the guy they wanted to complete this defensive back group for them this cycle.”

It’s a star-studded affair in Eugene as the likes of Offord, McNutt and five-star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart are among those in attendance. Oregon’s 2025 class currently ranks No. 7 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. It could acquire some major momentum on the trail with a win on Saturday night.
Na’eem Offord Scouting Summary
Offord is the No. 9 overall prospect and No. 3 CB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Alabama.
On3 writes this of Offord as a prospect:
“Twitchy, highly coordinated athlete who projects as one of the top defensive back prospects in the 2025 cycle. Has 6-foot-1.25, 181-pounds with 31.5-inch arms. Registered as one of the top athletes on the spring camp circuit prior to his junior season. A three-phase playmaker on Friday nights, making plays as a corner, return man and offense as a receiver and ball carrier. Flashed instincts and ball skills at corner as a junior. Effective at triggering and jumping passes to make plays on the ball. Very loose in his lower body, making for high-level change of direction.
…Excellent ball tracker as a defensive back, showing the ability to locate the football over his shoulder. Closes quickly as a tackler in the flats. Has a playmaking element to his game, which can be seen as a punt returner, taking back multiple punts for touchdowns as a junior. Has outstanding balance with the ball in his hands.”
