Peach State CB Jalen Williams commits to Arizona State: 'They're building something really special'

Over 30 schools offered Marietta (Ga.) Kell cornerback Jalen Williams and the 6-foot, 160-pounder has found his home. He has committed to Kenny Dillingham and the Arizona State Sun Devils.
“I made my decision Wednesday and that is when I committed to Arizona State,” Williams told On3. “I chose Arizona State over NC State, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh and Ole Miss.
“One of the biggest reasons why I chose them was how I related best to coach Dillingham and the entire staff. They showed the most genuine love and they really prioritized me. I like how they have a plan for me too.”
Williams will get back to Tempe for his official visit on May 2. He was there early in February for an unofficial visit and he loved it.
“The school and community are great. They have fun, but know how to work too. It is an awesome atmosphere out there.”

Bryan Carrington is the cornerbacks coach at Arizona State and Williams has a great connection with him. The new commit loves how genuine he is, how easy is to talk with him and how detailed he is as a coach.
Carrington is one piece of Dillingham’s puzzle and after a 11-3 season and a playoff berth in 2024, Williams is looking forward to his future in the program.
“It’s super-exciting to see how quickly they’ve turned it around,” Williams said. “They’re really building something special and I’m excited to be part of it.”
