New arrivals in PFF top 25

After huge week four wins for NC State, SMU and Oklahoma State, all three programs make their debut in Pro Football Focus’s top 25. NC State took down Clemson and knocked the Tigers out of the top 25 entirely. The SMU Mustangs are making noise after a win over cross-town rival TCU that included a post-game skirmish. The Oklahoma State Cowboys debut at No. 25 after a 31-20 win over Kansas State.

Biggest risers in the top 25

PFF is in consensus with AP voters this week, moving the Arkansas Razorbacks all the way up to No. 8 in the nation after a stunning 20-10 win over the Texas A&M Aggies. Meanwhile, the team Arkansas beat to gain national recognition in week two, Texas is back in the top 20 after dropping 70 points on Texas Tech. Wake Forest has been getting it done on offense and defense, working its way up seven spots to No. 18.

Biggest falls in the top 25

Texas A&M, Clemson and North Carolina saw massive drops down (or out) after losses in week four. The Aggies remain ranked but fell 11 spots after losing to Arkansas at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. UNC lost to Georgia Tech by 23 and Clemson couldn’t get it done in overtime versus NC State. The Tigers’ hopes for the CFP and the ACC title are dashed after just four weeks of play.
