Coming off a tough loss to division rival Cincinnati, the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to bounce back against Indianapolis. However, the injury report has a few reasons to be concerned.

Defensive stars TJ Watt and Cameron Heyward headline the players who did not participate in practice. However, the reason behind that was so they could rest. The Steelers have done that before this season with these two, so it can be assumed that they’ll be alright.

New to the injury report is one of the Steelers’ key offensive weapons, Miles Boykin. He missed practice with an oblique injury that he suffered against Cincinnati. Luckily, running back Najee Harris is no longer appearing on the injury report, though. So, his knee must be feeling better than it was earlier this season.

“We’ll see where this week leads us from a participation standpoint and a practice setting,” Coach Mike Tomlin said of Boykin. “We’ve got an extra day; we’ve really got an extra day and a half when you think about Monday Night Football and so, we’re going to leave the light on for all of these guys and remain hopeful and see where the week leads us.”

The Steelers are currently tied with the Cleveland Browns for third in the AFC North, at 3-7. If they want to make a run at the postseason, they’ll need to turn things around quickly. Otherwise, they’re going to keep looking up at the Ravens and Bengals.
