With just under 10 days until National Signing Day, the recruiting trail is hotter than ever. Nearly 90 percent of the country’s top recruits are already committed, but some of the biggest names are still on the board and preparing to make their final decisions.

That includes more than a half-dozen coveted prospects — including a few of the nation’s elite recruits — deciding between some of the country’s top programs over the next week. With the help of the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), we’ll preview each of the expected commitments this week.

December 12

4-star CB Smith Snowden
School: Lehi (Utah) Skyridge
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 384
On3 RPM: Utah 94.7%, Northwestern 2.7%, Colorado 1.8%

The Skinny: Snowden, one of the top players out of Utah, has been quiet on the recruiting trail since the summer. He took official visits to Northwestern, Utah and Colorado between April and June, and a few other schools were involved with him. But the in-state Utes made him a priority from the beginning and have been trending for him for some time.

“Utah is a great program with great coaches,” Snowden told On3 in May. “Coach Shah is a great man and a great coach. His resume speaks for itself and he could really develop me.”

December 13

3-star RB Jarvis Green
School: Irmo (S.C.) Dutch Fork
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 933
On3 RPM: Clemson 98.8%

The Skinny: Green was previously committed to James Madison, but an offer from the in-state Tigers last week changed everything. Clemson is now heavily favored to land a running back On3 is significantly higher on than the rest of the recruiting industry.

December 15

5-star OT Samson Okunlola
School: Brockton (Mass.) Thayer Academy
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 16
On3 RPM: Miami 64.0%, Florida 32.5%

The Skinny: For much of the summer and into this fall, Miami was considered the heavy favorite to land Okunlola, with the RPM giving them a 95% chance of doing so. But Florida has chipped away at that lead in recent weeks, including getting him on campus for both unofficial and official visits. Other schools are still in the mix, but this one is almost certainly going to come down to the two Sunshine State rivals.

4-star DB Javien Toviano
School
: Arlington (Texas) Martin
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 55
On3 RPM: LSU 95.0%, Texas 1.5%

The Skinny: Few prospects have been able to keep things as close to the vest in this cycle as Toviano, who has been incredibly careful with his words. But following the visits — and the predictions — LSU is the heavy favorite to land one of the nation’s most versatile defensive backs. He recently tripped to Texas, but Brian Kelly and Co. are in prime position to land another talented defensive back.

December 16

4-star DL Rueben Bain
School: Miami (Fla.) Central
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 80
On3 RPM: Miami 69.1%, Auburn 25.8%, Florida State 1.7%

The Skinny: Other schools have been involved with Bain from the beginning, but the Hurricanes and Tigers have been the two considered to be at the top for some time now. Auburn’s coaching change has put a damper on things, particularly the Tigers not keeping defensive assistant Roc Bellantoni on staff under Hugh Freeze. The local school is now trending to land him, but keep an eye on Florida State, which hosted him last weekend for an official visit.

4-star 2024 RB Aneyas Williams
School: Hannibal (Mo.)
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 140
On3 RPM: Notre Dame 94.2%, Kentucky 1.4%

The Skinny: The lone 2024 prospect on this list, Williams is ready to make an early decision. And all signs point to Notre Dame, which has had a strong run of recent success inside the state of Missouri. Williams is down to a handful of schools, but the Fighting Irish have been the trending program for a few weeks now.

3-star ATH Khalil Barnes
School: Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 651
On3 RPM: Clemson 92.0%, Wake Forest 2.6%, Purdue 1.7%

The Skinny: Barnes named his top three schools — Clemson, Notre Dame and Oklahoma — back in November, with the Fighting Irish and Tigers looking to be his co-favorites. And at one point, Notre Dame was even considered the leader. But after a couple of commitments that added to the Irish’s depth chart, Barnes turned his attention more toward Clemson. The Tigers got him on an official visit over Thanksgiving weekend and have been trending since.

4-star WR Taeshaun Lyons
School: Hayward (Calif.) Tennyson
On3 Consensus Ranking:
No. 223
On3 RPM: Washington 96.1%, Notre Dame 1.4%

The Skinny: Continuing with the Notre Dame theme, the Fighting Irish were also considered the leaders by the RPM after offering Lyons and hosting him for an official visit in September. But other programs crept into the mix, including Miami. But it has been Washington, the school recruiting him the longest of the three, who has the momentum just a few days out from his commitment.
