RB CJ Givers commits to Duke: 'It felt like home'

It was down to Duke, Georgia Tech, Indiana and NC State for Milton (Ga.) Fellowship Christian School running back CJ Givers and he has committed to the Blue Devils.
The three-star was in Durham on his official visit the weekend of June 6 and that is when his decision was made.
“It hit me on the official visit,” Givers told On3. “It felt like home and I would be foolish to not take the opportunity to go to Duke.”
A lot led him to play for one of the school institutions in the ACC.
“I chose Duke because the academics are unmatched. Coach Foster is a great man who can develop me into an NFL back too. I really like how the program is getting better and better every year also.”

Duke’s top competition was Indiana. He had a great visit to Raleigh this past weekend too. Chris Foster played a role in this commitment.
“Duke has been recruiting me for around eight months now and as soon as coach Foster landed the job in January, he immediately told me that I was his guy. I have a great connection with the him. Coach Foster is a great man who cares about me and wants to help me succeed in life.”
The feeling the No. 33 running back in the country had at Duke was different. That was another key to this decision.
“How comfortable I felt around the team was important,” Givers said. “I have been to Duke three times now. Duke has a great culture and atmosphere around that building; there are good people with good intentions who want to win. I am excited to join that brotherhood and go dominate and win the ACC.”
