As the committee deliberates which teams will be chosen for the College Football Playoff, Reggie Bush and Bob Stoops are changing their opinion. While the duo believes Alabama made a statement on Saturday, Bush and Stoops aren’t ready to put them above the Michigan Wolverines.

During FOX’s broadcast on the Big Ten Championship, Bush and Stoops switched things up.

“My only issue is that Michigan is ranked number two and they just won,” stated Bush, after a graphic showed Alabama as the No. 1 team. “So they should move up right? I think Alabama should move up as well. Just don’t know if I’m ready to put them at number one right now. I know I have them number one here but when I think about this win today and how big it is for this school, they should move up.

“So I have Michigan at number one. I’m going to put Alabama at number two, Cincinnati three and Georgia four. I know it’s different on there but that’s my order.”

Perhaps Bush should get into politics, because his reasoning was enough to get Stoops to change his mind.

“Listen I’ve been influenced by Reggie and you [Charles Woodson]. I’m changing mine,” revealed Stoops. “I’m going Michigan one, Alabama two. I got Georgia three and Cincinnati four. I’m allowed to change.”

Bush responded: “When you win, you should move up. Michigan should move up.”

Instead of supporting his former teammate, Matt Leinart pointed out a flaw in Bush’s logic — Alabama won as well. However, Bush’s rebuttal put a bow on his final rankings.

“Bama won. They should move up. But not to number one,” stated Bush. “They should move to number two. Put them at number two.”

Charles Woodson chimes in: ‘If we’re at number two and we win, we’re at number one.’

Bush, Stoops and Leinart debating their top teams is a microcosm of what the College Football Playoff committee will be doing on Sunday. However, a former Michigan alum threw a wrench into their conversation.

As the FOX crew debated their rankings, Charles Woodson had to represent the Wolverines.

“If we’re at number two and we win, we’re at number one,” Woodson said during halftime of the Big Ten title game on FOX. “Just leave it at that. I don’t care who you put at two, three and four. I don’t care.”

However, Brady Quinn doesn’t agree with Woodson. The former Notre Dame quarterback believes Alabama is jumping Michigan.

“You’re getting leapfrogged,” Quinn responded, speaking about Alabama.”They have the best win.”

Much like the FOX Sports crew, the College Football Playoff committee locks in their rankings on Sunday.
