Memphis, TN — On3 is back on the road, this time in Memphis, the Home of the Blues & Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll. It’s not a live period, meaning college coaches are not in attendance, scouting talent. But that didn’t stop many of the nation’s top players from showing up and showing out. Keep in mind, multiple courts are being played on simultaneously. I only choose to write about games I watch firsthand. With that being said, here are your top performers from Saturday.

On3 MVP: CG Dylan Harper

It’s very apparent that Dylan Harper is likely the best player every time he steps on the court. The 6-5 guard is steady, consistent, and selfless. He loves to get his teammates involved, always making the right read/pass. He can also go out and get you a bucket (or several). The game comes easily to him. He doesn’t have to score to effect winning. Down to Auburn, Duke, Rutgers, Kansas, and Indiana.

2. SG Kon Knueppel

Kon Knueppel might lack elite athleticism and agility but he certainly makes up with it with his IQ, competitiveness, toughness, and shotmaking. At 6-5, he is one of the more efficient players on the circuit and also one of the most fundamental. He showcased his ability to see the floor as well as his shooting. Notre Dame, Stanford and Virginia have hosted him on officials. Louisville and Ohio State are set to host him next month.

3. SG Trey McKenney

Trey McKenney really impressed me today. The 2025 guard has a strong build, good size, and is wired to score. He can talk the talk, but he can also walk the walk. Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Alabama, Illinois, Texas, and plenty of others have offered.

4. PG Elliot Cadeau

Elliot Cadeau’s passing is elite and he’s arguably the top point guard in the class. He creates easy opportunities for his teammates, which actively includes throwing perfect lobs to Jahki Howard. He’s jet quick and can also score when needed. His defensive intensity impressed me today. North Carolina commit.

5. PG Tyler Jackson

Tyler Jackson is a crafty shot maker with a knack for scoring. The 2025 guard is not afraid let it fly. He had back-to-back 30+ points game today. Alabama, Houston, Syracuse, Maryland, and plenty more have extended early offers.

6. SF Derrion Reid

Derrion Reid’s stock is rising. At 6-7, he’s a do-it-all forward. He’s athletic, strong, and smart with the ball in his hands. He’s a good team defender and can knock down the catch and shoot three. Would like to see him tighten up his handle. Alabama, Georgia Tech, Georgia, LSU, and several others are recruiting him.

Additional notes

+ Labaron Philon’s ability to playmake for others in the open court, as well as create his own shot was on display Saturday morning. The 6-4 guard is one of the top players in the southeast and a recent Auburn decommit. Ole Miss, Houston, Alabama, Auburn, and others continue to pursue him.

+ Meleek Thomas is an elite guard in the class of 2025. He has good feel, a tight handle, quickness, and excellent positional size. A willing and able defender. Would like to see his outside shot a bit more, prefers to get more downhill. Duke, Kentucky, UConn, Indiana, Michigan, and several others have offered.

+ Jahki Howard has unreal athleticism. The definition of a lob threat. Without question, the bounciest player in the class. Has all the tools to be an elite defender.

+ Tacko Fawaz played a strong game down in the post. Finishing with toughness and showed some touch around the rim. Solid hands. Effected shots around the rim.

+ Dwayne Pierce is a strong, tough, bruising guard that usually loves to slash to the rim. Today, he confidently shot the basketball — both jumpers and threes. Iowa State commit.

+ Kiyan Anthony has a beautiful shooting stroke. Doesn’t appear done growing. Finished with 15 points in front of dad, NBA Hall-of-Famer Carmelo Anthony. I’m intrigued to see how develops. He holds early offers from Syracuse, Memphis, Indiana, Tennessee, Providence, and others.

+ Rakease Passmore is a high-level shot blocker to be a guard and an excellent defender at 6-5. Indiana and Oregon have hosted him on official visits.

+ Nick Janowski is a strong shooter and a skilled ball handler. Another super fundamental player that contributes to winning. Nebraska commit.

+ Bryce James, the son of LeBron, has a smooth shooting stroke. Knocked down several jumpers. He looks to be about 6-4 as only a sophomore. He really completed on the defensive end. A lot to like here.

+ Darius Acuff is a hard-nosed, tough guard with a will to win. Very poised and very comfortable with the ball in his hands. Tight handle and can create his own shot.
