Las Vegas, Nevada – Pangos All-American Camp brought together some of the nation’s best players. They competed at Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman High in front of NBA and national scouts alike. What an opportunity for players. On3 was sitting baseline for the full three days, and here are the 2023 stock risers.

3-star PG AJ Johnson

AJ Johnson was far and away the fastest player, in the camp, with the ball in his hands. The 6-foot-4 point guard from Woodland Hills (CA) Taft High was an absolute blur with the ball. Johnson averaged an efficient 16.3 points. He shot 74.2-percent from the field and 42.9-percent from three.

This will be an intriguing one. On the one hand, Johnson has elite-level speed, with excellent positional size and length. He can play fast but also controlled, and he attacks the teeth of the defense with a purpose. He has had a considerable rise over the last year. The native of Fresno, California, is ultra-thin.

He will need to continue developing and reigning in his reads; however, the natural tools are in place to be one of the top point guards in the 2023 class.

4-star SG Andrej Stojakovic

Andrej Stojakovic is the 2023 On3 Consensus No. 52 player. The name is familiar because his father is former NBA All-Star and Champion Peja Stojakovic. The younger Stojakovic is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Carmichael (CA) Jesuit.

Stojakovic made waves earlier this Spring when he picked up a Kentucky offer after Coach Cal watched him at an NCAA live evaluation period. Stojakovic is a high IQ player. He has a solid handle as a secondary initiator and good floor vision.

As expected, Stojakovic is a good shooter with confidence from deep and the ability to get into his mid-range shot off the bounce. He has taken a single official visit to Stanford, and he has another scheduled (click here).

3-star PF Kevin Patton, Jr.

Kevin Patton, Jr. was one of those unexpected gems you find in the back gym during a 125-plus player event. The 6-foot-8 forward is from Maricopa (AZ) High, which is between Phoenix and Tuscon.

Patton, Jr. had a diverse game that was intriguing. You immediately see the length, and then the pop shows in lay-up lines. Once the game gets going, you see Patton, Jr. knock down thees, attack the glass, and move his feet on defense.

This viewing was our first of Patton, Jr., so we do not want to be too aggressive, but his play was consistent and projectable. He currently carries offers from Rice, Santa Clara, and Northern Arizona. Patton, Jr. should crash the rankings in the next 2023 update.

4-star C Papa Kante

If we were to give an award for the best center at Pangos All-American Camp, Papa Kante would have been aggressively in the conversation.

Through the first two days at Pangos, Kante averaged 11.7 points and 7.0 rebounds, on 53.8-percent shooting from the field. He does what you want a big man to do, rebounding the ball, defending and switching, and making tough guy plays. His offensive arsenal continues to expand, showing a go-to move on the block and stepping to knock down spot-jumpers from three and create opportunities in the mid-post.

Kante has taken a single official visit to Rutgers. He has June official visits set for Michigan and Maryland.

4-star SG Kaden Cooper

Kaden Cooper’s progression over the last eight months has been significant. Always an elite-level athlete with long arms and positional size, Cooper’s feel for the game has grown immensely.

The 6-foot-5 guard from Atlanta (GA) TSF Academy played on the ball a lot during Pangos. His passing was one of his stand-out qualities. Most importantly, what has grown over that time has been his shooting. The form is consistent, he is on balance, and the range is deep.

Cooper has set official visits this June to Gonzaga and LSU. Look for him to enter the rankings in our next update.

4-star C Devin Williams

Quite simply, 6-foot-10 guys do not move as fluidly as Devin Williams. He is a rangy center who naturally runs the floor and finishes above the rim.

Williams showed a pretty complete took-kit, knocking down threes, finishing over his left shoulder, and blocking shots. There is a lot of upside, and the consistency of his flashes is making the upside hard to ignore. Look for him to enter the rankings for our next update.

Last week, Williams announced a top-five with On3’s Joe Tipton, UCLA, USC, UNLV, Texas Tech, and Arizona. He has his first official visit set with Southern Cal in June.

Others of Note: CG Sebastian Mack, PF Carey Booth, PG Garwey Dual, PG Darius Carr, 4-star PF Sean Stewart
