Texas analyst Ray Pickering expected to be hired as offensive coordinator at Norfolk State

Texas offensive analyst Ray Pickering is expected to be hired as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Norfolk State, sources tell On3.

Pickering, who was selected for this year’s AFCA 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute, spent this season at Texas after a year as the offensive coordinator at Division II Lane College.

He previously spent 12 seasons as a high school offensive coordinator in Mississippi, where he coached players such as recent Ole Miss standouts Snoop Conner and Dontario Drummond.
