As the calendar nears August, football continues its rapid approach. The 2024 high school season is only a few weeks away, while the college season officially begins in less than a month.

Though the SEC is continuing its dominance on the recruiting trail, plenty of ACC programs are also making waves across the country. The conference currently owns five of the top 30 classes in the nation in the 2024 cycle.

Here are the top 10 ACC classes in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, as of Thursday at 5 p.m. ET.

1. Clemson (91.396)

Breakdown: 2 five-stars | 8 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 17 total commits
Top Commit: Midlothian (Texas) wide receiver Bryant Wesco, No. 17 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: Clemson is the lone ACC program to own commitments from multiple five-stars, as Jefferson (Ga.) linebacker Sammy Brown is right behind Wesco as the No. 18 overall player in the cycle. The Tigers’ class checks in at No. 6 nationally. Of the 17 commits, none are in-state.

2. Florida State (90.672)

Breakdown: 1 five-star | 8 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 17 total commits
Top Commit: Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County tight end Landen Thomas, No. 27 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: The Seminoles are tied with Clemson for the most four-star recruits in the conference. Behind Thomas, the No. 1 TE in the cycle, Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek is the highest-ranked commit for the Noles, checking in as the No. 52 overall player and No. 6 QB in the class.

3. Miami (89.659)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 7 four-stars | 11 three-stars | 18 total commits
Top Commit: Miami Chaminade-Madonna wide receiver Joshisa Trader, No. 34 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes have taken a big leap in July, adding four commits, including their two highest-ranked prospects in Trader and Chicago Kenwood four-star EDGE Marquise Lightfoot, the No. 62 overall player in the cycle. The Canes are the only other ACC program ranked in the top 20 nationally, checking in at No. 18.

4. North Carolina (88.052)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 20 three-stars | 24 total commits
Top Commit: Fuquay-varina (N.C.) safety Malcom Ziglar, No. 161 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: The Tar Heels currently own the highest number of total commits at 24, though only three possess blue-chip status. Ziglar is one of seven in-state commits for head coach Mack Brown, while seven of UNC’s top 10 prospects hail from either Florida or Georgia.

5. Virginia Tech (87.812)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 13 three-stars | 16 total commits
Top Commit: D.C. St. Vincent Pallotti linebacker Gabriel Williams, No. 178 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: Four of the Hokies’ top five prospects hail from D.C. or Virginia, led by Williams and Virginia Beach Green Run wide receiver Keylen Adams, the No. 184 overall player in the class. Six of the top 20 players from Virginia are currently committed to Va Tech, as it asserts its local recruiting dominance over in-state rival Virginia.

6. Georgia Tech (87.468)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 19 three-stars | 23 total commits
Top Commit: Tucker (Ga.) EDGE CJ Jackson, No. 180 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: Despite owning a losing record for four seasons in a row, the Yellow Jackets are trying to trend upward in the ACC with new head coach Brent Key and now possess the No. 31 class in the nation. Charleston (S.C.) Phillip Simmons four-star cornerback Troy Stevenson and Warner Robins (Ga.) four-star wide receiver Isiah Canion each pledged in July, headlining the class alongside Jackson.

7. Duke (86.968)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 2 four-stars | 17 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Cibolo (Texas) Samuel Clemens safety Paul Mencke Jr, No. 329 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: Head coach Mike Elko and his staff did some heavy lifting on the recruiting trail in June, as 15 of the Blue Devils’ 20 commits pledged last month. Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove four-star quarterback Tyler Cherry bolsters the class as the No. 24 QB in the cycle.

8. Pittsburgh (86.842)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 2 four-stars | 18 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside interior offensive lineman Caleb Holmes, No. 248 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: While Pitt isn’t near the top of the ACC, it’s still moving in the right direction. After finishing No. 53 overall in the 2023 cycle, the Panthers are currently No. 39 in the nation in late July. Melbourne (Fla.) Central Catholic wide receiver DayDay Farmer joins Holmes as the only other four-star in Pitt’s class, which features the third-most three-star commits in the conference at 18.

9. Louisville (86.196)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 11 three-stars | 14 total commits
Top Commit: Homestead (Fla.) running back Isaac Brown, No. 358 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: Of the programs in the top 10, Louisville has the lowest number of commits at 14. New head coach Jeff Brohm has prioritized the transfer portal, as the Cardinals have brought in 27 portal additions and currently own the No. 1 transfer class, per On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings. Brown has stayed true during all the change, as the RB has remained committed since Aug. 1.

10. Wake Forest (86.175)

Breakdown: 0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 17 three-stars | 18 total commits
Top Commit: Hiram (Ga.) interior offensive lineman Clinton Richard, No. 488 in On3 Industry Ranking
Summary: The Demon Deacons are the best of a bad bunch on the trail at the bottom of the ACC and are one of four teams currently without a four or five-star commit. The top four recruits in Wake’s class all hail from Georgia, with Atlanta Woodward linebacker Andrew Hines III following Richard as the next highest-ranked prospect.
