Derby (Kan.) four-star tight end DaSaahn Brame continues to work towards a decision, and on Wednesday, he trimmed his list of top schools down to six.

Brame told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he is down to Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-4.5, 225-pounder is the No. 96 overall prospect and No. 3 TE in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Kansas.

Ole Miss and Oregon have locked in official visits with Brame. He visited Alabama and Tennessee in March and is looking to see LSU this spring, as well. The Ducks are currently trending for his pledge, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

“I am ready to name Oregon the favorite to land another playmaker on the offensive side of the ball in four-star tight end DaSaahn Brame,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons wrote in January.“ He has good relationships with the staff, he likes the fit in the offense and Oregon is setting the pace in this recruitment.”

“I love the staff at Oregon,” Brame told On3. “The people there is what keeps me going back. It is a cool place with good people. It is beautiful, I like the campus and the vibe is cool. I like Coach Mehringer a lot. I like his personality, he coaches his guys up and he is a developmental coach. Coach Mehringer will coach his guys, he will play freshmen and we have a strong relationship.”

Brame breaks down recent Tennessee visit

Josh Heupel and the Volunteers had Brame on Rocky Top last week, and the four-star caught up with Volquest’s Brent Hubbs to break down the trip and his interest in Tennessee:

“The coaching staff is a great family feeling here,” Brame said. “Being in the meetings with the players and seeing how they interact with each other was really cool. There’s competition in the room but everyone treats you like family and help each other out to get better.”

“They have alway been high on my list since the first day I came out here. It definitely helped them out,” he added.

Brame also told Volquest that he is likely to take three or four official visits ahead of what’s currently planned to be a July decision. Entering April, six schools stand above the rest for the Sunflower State standout.
