Top-100 WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt commits to Ohio State: 'They produce'

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt was planning to take multiple official visits and commit in July, before his senior season. After multiple visits to Ohio State and Oregon this spring, the four-star moved his commitment date up and he has committed to Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.
Oregon had the momentum before the No. 86 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking made it to Columbus this spring. Then he returned. Those visits pushed the Buckeyes to the top.
“The first visit really made it competitive between Ohio State and Oregon, then the second one, I felt great,” Dixon-Wyatt told On3. “The people made it feel great for me at Ohio State. I have a great relationship with coach Hart (Brian Hartline) and coach Day. How they recruited me, stayed in contact and the message of how important I was to them on the visits was big.”
Hartline’s track record and the history at Ohio State played a big role in this commitment as well.

“The receivers and quarterbacks at Ohio State, nobody is stopping that. They produce. They have a strong offense, they develop players and it is a great offense to play in.
“Coach Hartline knows how to coach receivers; he develops them so well and that development was a big factor.”
It wasn’t an easy decision. It came sooner than Dixon-Wyatt thought it would, but he felt it was time.
“I am happy with my decision,” Dixon-Wyatt said. “I have great relationships with the coaches on that staff. They do great things with wide receivers and their history is great.”
