Dillon Hunter, the No. 127 overall prospect in the On3 2022 Consensus, has received his release from Baylor and will reopen his recruitment.

“I would like to thank Coach Drew and the entire coaching staff for the opportunity to play at Baylor. Also, thank you to the fans and supporters for everything. After careful consideration, I have decided to reopen my recruitment and decommit from Baylor,” Hunter said in a statement to On3.

The 6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Wichita (Kan.) Sunrise Christian committed to the Bears in February of last year, before signing during the early period in November.

Prior to choosing Baylor, the Atlanta native received offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, and Georgia Tech.

Baylor still retains two members of their 2022 recruiting class — five-star SG and McDonald’s All-American Keyonte George and four-star C Joshua Ojianwuna
