Allen is the No. 18 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked as the No. 4 combo guard and the No. 1 player in Florida.
On3 had the opportunity to watch Marvel Allen play in mid-December during the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, FL. In four games, he averaged 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists playing while against elite-level talent. The numbers don’t jump off the page, but Allen was easily one of the best guards at the event. More of a scoring guard now, Allen would like to improve his ability to play make. However, he is a willing and capable passer but his natural ability is to put the ball in the hole. Allen has a strong body to be a junior, while allows him to get to the rim with ease, and also play tight on-ball defense.
