Nearly all of the nation’s top 2024 football recruits are signed and set to begin classes at their schools over the next few weeks. There is a small handful though, that remain unsigned. A few just committed in the past few weeks at either the All-American Bowl or Under Armour All-America game, while the rest are expected to come to a decision in the next few weeks before the February signing period.

Here’s a look at the top unsigned recruits in the cycle and what schools to keep an eye on over the course of the next month:

Five-Star Plus+ WR Ryan Williams

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 12
The Skinny: Ryan Williams, one of the nation’s elite wide receivers regardless of class, reclassified from 2025 to 2024 a little over a week before the Early Signing Period. It was then that he announced he’d be signing on February 9, his 17th birthday. A longtime Alabama commit, Williams backed off his pledge to the Crimson Tide once Nick Saban’s retirement news broke.

Alabama is still in the picture and will host him this coming weekend with its new staff in place. But LSU, Auburn, Texas and Texas A&M are also in contention, with Williams telling On3’s Chad Simmons that it’s “neck and neck.”

5-star ATH Terry Bussey – Texas A&M commit

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 20
The Skinny: One of the nation’s most dynamic two-way players, Terry Bussey looks to have the most open recruitment at this stage of the elite prospects still unsigned. He remains committed to Texas A&M, but LSU, Alabama, Georgia and others are trying to change that. Bussey is set for visits in January. But at this point no dates have been locked in. Texas A&M’s new staff under Mike Elko is also working to keep the local star at home.

5-star DL Dominick McKinley – LSU commit

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 27
The Skinny: After committing to Texas A&M on Sept. 1 and not taking any other visits during the fall while he was pledged to the Aggies, Dominick McKinley had a change of heart when the Aggies staff was dismissed. Exactly four months after his initial commitment, he flipped to LSU as the clock struck midnight on January 1. All signs point to him inking with the Tigers next month.

4-star WR Gatlin Bair

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 41
The Skinny: After backing off his pledge to Boise State at the beginning of December, elite wideout Gatlin Bair announced he was focused on two schools: Michigan and Oregon. He visited both programs before the December signing period, but has opted to take his recruitment into January and potentially February. Michigan is the favorite on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), but Bair is waiting to see how things play out with Jim Harbaugh after the national championship.

Should he leave for the NFL, the Ducks could have an opportunity to add another major piece to a top-4 class in 2024.

4-star EDGE Amaree Williams

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 169
The Skinny: Similar to Ryan Williams (no relation), Amaree Williams was an elite 2025 prospect who opted to reclassify to 2024 in December. He immediately took an official visit to Florida State after announcing, but they’re not the only school in contention, according to On3’s Chad Simmons. Williams is expected to take numerous visits in January. Outside of Florida State and Kentucky, schools like Florida, Georgia, Texas and USC are on Williams’ radar.

4-star DL Dominic Kirks – Washington commit

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 227
The Skinny: Dominic Kirks has been pledged to Washington since late June, when he chose the Huskies over Pitt, Cincinnati, Wisconsin and a handful of others. Since then though, other schools entered his recruitment and Washington defensive ends coach Eric Schmidt left for San Diego State.

He took an official visit to USC the second weekend in December and has also been in contact with schools like Syracuse and Ohio State.

4-star EDGE Noah Carter

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 284
The Skinny: After signing with Washington in December, Noah Carter decommitted from the Huskies over the weekend and requested a release from his National Letter of Intent. That followed head coach Kalen DeBoer leaving for Alabama. He told On3’s Chad Simmons that signing again with Washington isn’t off the table, but he’s going to take visits before the February signing period starts next month.

“I would just say, really just trying to find the best situation for me,” Carter told Simmons about what comes next. “Finding the best scheme, and really just seeing who really meshes with me. Seeing who would take me in.”

4-star SAF Faletau Satuala – BYU commit

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 378
The Skinny: Faletau Satuala chose the Cougars over UCLA and Utah on Saturday at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. He is expected to ink in February with his home state school.

4-star CB Kevyn Humes

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 384
The Skinny: In a bit of a surprise move, four-star cornerback Kevyn Humes announced on Christmas Day that he was reclassifying to 2024. The Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy product has official visits set for each of the next four weekends, with Syracuse (Jan. 12), Penn State (Jan. 20), USC (Jan. 22) and Notre Dame (Jan. 28) and Florida (Feb. 2) locked in to host him.

Scheme and the living environment at each school will be key factors in his decision, he told On3’s Chad Simmons.

4-star CB Jayden Lewis

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 396
The Skinny: Jayden Lewis, a one-time Auburn commit, was scheduled to take an official visit to Mississippi State right before the Early Signing Period. However, that visit was postponed and he is expected to sign in February. He told On3’s MaroonandWhite.com that Houston, Tulane, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Memphis are his visit options and he will just visit one of those schools before making his decision.
