“I’ve been trying to keep myself engaged in the game at all times,” Miranda told On3. “With relentless effort, and trying to become a better leader for myself.”
In that matchup, the center who recently announced he would transfer to Los Angeles (CA) SoCal Academy finished with 24 points, going 10 of 13 from the field and 2 of 4 from three. On3 caught up with Isaiah Miranda recently to talk about his visits and recruitment.
“I’ve taken official visits to USC and Georgetown,” Miranda said. “I don’t have any other visits scheduled yet.”

Southern Cal: “I learned how they utilize their big men, their facilities, and how they take care of their guys. I like how they play because they give their fives freedom, let them bring up the ball if they get a rebound, go in transition. That’s how I like to play, getting up and down.”
Georgetown: “The coach, Patrick Ewing, he was a big man and he’s a Hall-of-Famer. I’m just trying to get as much as I can from him, learn, see what they can do for me and go from there.”
Miranda’s take
“I’ll probably look to commit somewhere by the end of Summer,” Miranda said. “I’ll be looking at how they utilize me in their program. How they could make me better, and I would become a better player with them, and person for myself and my team.”.
