Top QB commits- afi

The height of recruiting season is about to begin, but the majority of top quarterback recruits are already committed heading into the summer. That includes four of the five 5-stars in the 2026 class, as well as 10 of the top 14 players at the position overall.

And while we’re sure to see some decommitments and flips between now and December, the majority of passers stick with their first commitment. As official visits continue through May and June, here’s a look at the top 10 committed quarterbacks in the rising senior class:

Jared Curtis – Georgia

School: Nashville Christian (Tenn.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 2 NATL.

Scouting Summary: “Elite arm talent with creative playmaking ability. Has a big frame, measuring in at around 6-foot-3.5, 225 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his junior season. Looks like the top arm talent in the 2026 cycle. Ball explodes off his hand. Generates considerable velocity on throws to all areas of the field. Has a loose, natural throwing motion. Capable of delivering impressive passes from several arm angles. A pure rotational athlete who does not need his feet set to throw accurate passes. Plays with a gunslinging mentality and is not afraid to drive the football into tight windows over the middle of the field. A fluid athlete who is tough to corral in the backfield. Dangerous playmaker and improviser. Had some unbelievable second-reaction plays as a junior, evading pass rushers and uncorking throws 50+ yards downfield.”

Dia Bell — Texas

School: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 10 NATL

Bell on his commitment: “I really enjoyed my visits and have developed great relationships with Coach Sark and Milwee,” Bell told On3. “They are one of the best offenses in the country and have a track record of development at my position. I’m really excited about their move to the SEC and the opportunity to help bring a championship to the 40 acres.”

Faizon Brandon — Tennessee

School: Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 12 NATL.

Brandon on his commitment: “It just felt like home. From the beginning, I liked it a lot at Tennessee,” he told On3. “I kept going back and it felt like home from the start. I think I have visited six or seven times now, and I kept getting that good feeling every time I was there. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew it was Tennessee. The feeling for them was different and it never changed. My relationships with coaches on both sides of the ball and the support system make it feel like home at Tennessee.”

Keisean Henderson — Houston

School: Houston Legacy SSS
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 16 NATL.

Scout’s Take: “Henderson is one of the top athletes in the country regardless of position. With everything we had seen going into the Navy All-American Bowl, we knew that his dynamic ability as a runner and deep ball were quite impressive as a quarterback prospect. However, we felt the junior film left us questioning his consistency and accuracy as a touch passer in the deep/intermediate levels of the field. We knew he had the fastball, but could he throw the slider or the changeup? As we have seen in his ability as a passer throughout his high school journey, we were able to see steady improvement each day of practice, culminating with an On3 MVP performance by the end of Navy All-American Bowl week. Henderson displayed whippy arm action to get the ball out effectively from multiple arm slots. He also showed the fastball during the routes-on-air and 7-on-7 periods in practice.”

Jonas Williams — USC

School: Frankfort Heights (Ill.) Lincoln-Way East
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 89 NATL.

Williams on his flip from Oregon: “My favorite things that excite me are the relationships I’ve built with Coach Riley, (Luke) Huard, and the GM Chad Bowden,” he told On3. “That was an important factor for me and knowing that this offense will fit my playing style is reassuring … The culture, the area, center of LA, and the people in the building,” he added of what stands out.

Brady Smigiel — Michigan

School: Newbury Park (Calif.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 91 NATL.

Coach’s take on Smigiel: “Brady is an absolute general,” private quarterbacks coach Danny Hernandez has previously told On3. “He takes care of business. Being in position where he’s going to be a four-year starter in high school, the production he’s been able to do is impressive. Watching him his command and presence he has with his team is different than other guys I’ve seen in the 2026 class. He’s a second coach out there. It’s awesome.”

Jake Fette — Arizona State

School: El Paso (Texas) Del Valle
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 110 NATL.

Scout’s Take: “Jake Fette is a dynamic playmaker at quarterback. One of the better athletes at QB in the 2026 cycle that we’ve seen thus far,” On3’s Charles Power said. “A guy who’s very explosive with the ball in his hands and is off to a strong start in his junior year. Had a game recently where he threw eight touchdowns in the first half, so he’s playing really well. A true dual-threat and a fluid athlete with a good arm. We were high on him coming out of his sophomore year and when we’ve looked at how he’s played to this point as a junior, we felt like his high ranking was merited at this point,” Power said. “A guy who’s floated a little under the radar to this point, from El Paso, a city that’s not loaded with typical blue-chip prospects. What we’ve seen from Fette this far, the overall athleticism and playmaking, has been very encouraging.”

Noah Grubbs – Notre Dame

School: Lake Mary (Lake Mary, FL)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 183

Grubbs on his commitment to the Irish: “I went to all of my top schools throughout the spring, and Notre Dame was the place that was most special in my heart. I was thinking to myself that nothing new could pop up that’s going to make it so that I like another place more. I’ve already been to the schools I wanted to see. I wanted to make the decision now to recruit the class.”

Dereon Coleman – Miami

School: Jones (Lakeland, FL)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 208

Scout’s Take: “Dereon Coleman was the other gunslinger for 24K this weekend and picked up right where he left off to start the day on Day 2. After a strong four touchdown performance on Day 1, Coleman followed it up with seven touchdowns on day 2. He and Trae Taylor were placing the football all over the field with Coleman showcasing his phenomenal natural arm talent and quick release. Coleman threw the lone interception for the pair early on Day 2 and battled back to put the final game away and score the last two touchdowns for 24K in the championship.” – Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

Jett Thomalla – Iowa State

School: Millard South (Omaha, NE)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 215

Scout’s Take:Scout’s Take: “Thomalla had an excellent performance during his Elite 11 workout showing that he can generate high RPMs on the football and rip it from multiple arm slots. His ability to manipulate the football even when working off-platform was quite impressive. He has the frame, quality athletic ability and arm talent to develop into one of the top rising senior signal callers in the country. If he can continue to improve his lower-half mechanics and develop physically he should have quite a strong senior season.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout
