Touted CB Sean Johnson commits to Florida State

Severn (Md.) Archbishop Spalding cornerback Sean Johnson announced his commitment to Mike Norvell and Florida State on Thursday.
He chose the Seminoles over Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State and Maryland.
Johnson was in Tallahassee earlier this spring on March 25.
“Everything,” he said of what stood out. “From the coaching staff to the players, campus and the facilities, I had a really great time when I was there.”
Johnson becomes commit No. 9 for the Seminoles in 2026 and was recruited by Pat Surtain Sr. The FSU class was previously ranked No. 15 by the On3 Industry.
“I really like how Mike Norvell interacts with his players at campus,” Johnson said. “He motivates them to have a chip on their shoulder because of last year.”

The On3 Industry tabs Johnson as the nation’s No. 47 cornerback. He’ll take his official visit the weekend of June 13 and says he may get back down sooner.
“The brotherhood and family,” Johnson said.” I felt like when I went down there everyone is competing at practice. Coaches are really into it and show that they care. The players want to get better. They were openminded and answered my questions.
“It felt like home to be honest.”
