Rock Hill, South Carolina – The Under Armour Circuit hosted their second live period of April in South Carolina this weekend. They brought all of their teams from the 15u to 18u divisions to play at the state-of-the-art Rock Hill Sports and Events Center.

A live period is a designated time when college coaches are allowed by the NCAA to be on the road and give in-person evaluations of players. From the end of the high school season to the beginning of the following high school season, there are six live periods. Two three-day periods in April, two three-day periods in June, and two four-day periods in July. That is roughly 20 days from March to October that college coaches are allowed to in-person evaluate high school players.

Anytime there is a large group of players competing and college coaches looking in, there are stock risers. Players who outperformed the scope of where our lens last saw them. A player who was one of the event’s most dominant overall forces like Efeosa Oliogu, who is No. 38 in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, would not qualify in this writing, as he is already No. 11 in the 2025 On3 75.

Let’s discuss some stock risers from the Under Armour Live Period.

Four-star SG Shon Abaev – SOH Elite

Shot-making comes at a premium in today’s game, and no one on the Under Armour Circuit did a better job creating and making shots than Shon Abaev. Playing up in age on the 17u circuit, he carries a lengthy 6-foot-7 frame with a lot of projectability. Abaev is capable of getting hot quickly and putting a lot of points on the board in a short amount of time. The confidence does not waiver with him, as his mentality is that his next shot is always the best.

Abaev was at Fort Lauderdale (FL) Calvary Christian this season. The defensive output can be inconsistent, and his vision can be centralized on the rim. However, this weekend, he created space whenever he wanted it and was able to knock down shots at each level.

Currently, On3 is the only scouting service to have him ranked, so he does not register in the equally weighted 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He is the No. 49 player in the 2025 On3 75. St. John’s and LSU are the high majors in the door early.

Three-star PF Matthew Gilhool – Philly Pride

The fluidity, the ball skills, the toughness, you can see it all with Matthew Gilhool. At this point, this is still an upside play with the 6-foot-10 power forward from Westtown (PA) School, but you can clearly see the direct path he is on. Especially with the continued development he has shown over the last eight to 12 months.

During one stretch on Saturday, Gilhool knocked down a pick-and-pop jumper, got back on defense and blocked a shot, then sprinted the floor to catch the ball over his shoulder on the break at the rim. He will need to continue adding weight and keep getting game reps as he develops, but there is a fluidity, ball skills, and touch that players his size do not typically have.

Gilhool is currently unranked. Virginia Tech and Penn State are two programs that seem to have done some early work in this recruitment.

Three-star SF Andrew Crawford – KC Run GMC

The production was too hard to ignore. Andrew Crawford is a player who simply contributes to winning. The defense is what stood out at first. The 6-foot-7 forward from Highlands Ranch (CO) ThunderRidge High seemed to always be around the ball. He was a good rebounder for his position, and he did a good job cutting down angles in the passing lanes.

Offensively, he was simply efficient during the Under Armour live period. Crawford was intriguing as a secondary initiator. He did not turn the ball over and got the ball to its spots. He finished well at the rim and attacked the lanes with purpose in transition. Crawford also made multiple threes during the event, showing a confident release off the catch. All in all, he carries a pretty well-rounded game.

Oregon and Cal recently offered, and Colorado has gotten the lone official visit to this point. Crawford is currently unranked.

Three-star G TJ Stuttley – Wisconsin Playground 16u

It appeared that TJ Stuttley has found his groove of what he is as a player, and that factor looks to have brought a lot of confidence to his game. The Onalaska (WI) High guard was very comfortable on the ball and creating plays. While he is not the most athletic player on the floor, when asked to get to a spot or make a decision, he was more than capable.

Stuttley has a smooth game and great positional size. His frame looks also like it could easily add weight without losing fluidity. I did not see a jump shot, but he made his free throws in my viewing this weekend. Not sold on him as an all-out one at this point, but as a connector guard able to tie everything together, he does very well.

Grambling State is currently the only offer, and he is currently unranked.

Three-star PF Babatunde Durodola – Canada Elite

While all eyes were rightfully on Canada Elite’s Efeosa Oliogu, 6-foot-8 Babatunde Durodola continued to draw my attention. He was one of those guys who would consistently make a play that would me looking down at the roster to find his name.

The flashes were consistently impressive during the Under Armour live period. Durodola was a competitive area rebounder, using his length and broad frame. He made some plays facing the basket, attacking the rim from the mid-post. He also scored some on the block. While he will still need to continue growing his game, there was a lot there to build on.

Durodola came into the event with a lone Old Dominion offer. He is currently unranked.
