The Early Signing Period starts Wednesday, and recruiting races across the country are boiling hot right now as teams look to lock in their recruits. It is even hotter among conference rivals looking to gain any advantage upon their local foes for the next few seasons.

Here’s the 2023 ACC On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, as of Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET.

1. Miami (93.473)
3 five-stars | 13 four-stars | 9 three-stars | 26 total recruits
Top Commit: Lakeland (Fla.) cornerback Cormani McClain, No. 3 in On3 Consensus
Summary: It has been a hectic, up-and-down fall for Miami on the football field and on the recruiting trail. There has been more growing pains for Mario Cristobal than people would have liked but he is finishing this recruiting cycle quite well. However, McClain has not yet signed his National Letter of Intent and Deion Sanders is reportedly making a move.

2. Clemson (91.959)
1 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 9 three-stars | 26 total recruits
Top Commit: Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson defensive lineman Peter Woods, No. 26 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Woods leads a Clemson class looking to finish strong and inside the top 10 nationally. Among ACC foes, they have second place all but locked up thanks to four other top-100 players.

3. Florida State (89.323)
1 five-stars | 7 four-stars | 6 three-stars | 15 total recruits
Top Commit: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan wide receiver Hykeem Williams, No. 30 in On3 Consensus
Summary: It has been a renaissance year for Mike Norvell, who entered the 2022 season on a seat that was feeling some heat. But he led the Seminoles to nine wins and has them set to finish with a top-20 recruiting class. Williams was a great recruiting. But losing top-100 recruit Keldric Faulk today to Auburn was a tough pill to swallow.

4. Louisville (88.494)
0 five-stars | 6 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 14 total recruits
Top Commit: Los Alamitos (Calif.) wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr., No. 101 in in On3 Consensus
Summary: Can Louisville hold onto DeAndre Moore? That is the big question for the Cardinals, having already lost Rueben Owens a few weeks ago. He has not signed yet. Four-star quarterback Pierce Clarkson is the face of the recruiting class, which could finish as a top-20 class. Whether it does or doesn’t, it is set for a remarkable jump compared to last year when it was ranked 54th in the national rankings.

5. North Carolina (87.924)
0 five-stars | 5 four-stars | 15 three-stars | 20 total recruits
Top Commit: Maiden (N.C.) wide receiver Chris Culliver, No. 205 in On3 Consensus
Summary: North Carolina had a top-10 class in the 2022 cycle thanks to three top-100 recruits, including five-star offensive tackle Zach Rice. The Tar Heels are nowhere close to that mark right now, and are fighting for a top-30 class. That doesn’t mean their current group doesn’t have any talent — on the contrary. It just doesn’t have the same highly-regarded players as last year.

6. NC State (86.717)
0 five-stars | 2 four-stars | 14 three-stars | 17 total recruits
Top Commit: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage safety Daemon Fagan, No. 304 in On3 Consensus
Summary: About half of the Wolfpack’s recruiting class from North Carolina but the top commit in Fagan is from Florida. But in-state tight end Javonte Vereen is a consensus four-star recruit and offensive tackle Darion Rivers is an On3 four-star player.

7. Virginia Tech (86.334)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 25 three-stars | 26 total recruits
Top Commit: Nolensville (Tenn.) wide receiver Chance Fitzgerald, No. 456 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Hokies have had a recruiting serge over the last two weeks with some major commitments, including Fitzgerald, wide receiver Ayden Greene and quarterback William Watson III. All three are among the top five prospects in the class.

8. Wake Forest (85.947)
0 five-stars | 1 four-stars | 19 three-stars | 20 total recruits
Top Commit: North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School wide receiver Micah Mays, No. 346 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Mays is the lone four-star recruit in the class but Dave Clawson has built a really stout group. The Demon Deacons recruiting class in 2022 was ranked 65th while this year’s group is a top-45 class.

9. Pitt (85.837)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 19 three-stars | 20 total recruits
Top Commit: Hampton (Va.) Phoebus linebacker Jordan Bass, No. 488 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Bass is a four-star prospect, according to On3, and leads this recruiting class of 18 commits. Most of the prospects come from out of state.

10. Duke (85.238)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 26 three-stars | 26 total recruits
Top Commit: College Station (Texas) running back Marquise Collins, No. 779 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Mike Elko has done a great job in his first season at Duke. His first full recruiting class has a dearth of elite talent but it does have some depth with 26 commits to build some competitive depth.

11. Boston College (85.147)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 17 three-stars | 17 total recruits
Top Commit: Philadelphia Neumann Goretti cornerback Shawn Battle, No. 518 in On3 Consensus
Summary: About a quarter of the 2023 commits come from the state of Massachusetts, which is a fairly high number compared to schools of similar standing. Quarterback Jacobe Robinson is ranked as a four-star prospect by one of the four major recruiting services.

12. Georgia Tech (84.768)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 18 three-stars | 21 total recruits
Top Commit: Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb Christian School interior offensive lineman Gabriel Fortson, No. 701 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Some decommits have lowered the Yellow Jackets class’ potential but there are still some noteworthy names in the group. They are also hopeful to convert some flips, so it could be a good finish for Georgia Tech.

13. Virginia (84.296)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 17 three-stars | 19 total recruits
Top Commit: Tappahannock (Va.) Essex linebacker Kamren Robinson, No. 434 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Cavaliers have a very similar recruiting class to last year. Robinson is the only recruit to ranked as a four-star by any of the four major recruiting services.

14. Syracuse (82.309)
0 five-stars | 0 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 15 total recruits
Top Commit: Florence (S.C.) South Florence quarterback LaNorris Sellers, No. 605 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Orange may be the last team in the ACC rankings but they have one of the most fascinating recruits in the conference in Sellers. Sellers is ranked as the No. 156 overall recruit and No. 12 quarterback in the 2023 On300. He had a big 2022 season as a high school senior and has major dual-threat ability. If he hits for Syracuse, he could be the type of player to bring the program to a new level.
