We updated our 2023 On3 150 and, with that, expanded our five-star cut-off from 12 to 15. Our newest rankings now feature four new five-star prospects. This includes the No. 1 overall player, Camden (NJ) High center Aaron Bradshaw, who was previously ranked 17.

Bradshaw unseated his high school and travel ball teammate DJ Wagner as the No. 1 player in the class. Like the other three newly minted five-stars, Bradshaw’s production, when paired with his projection, was simply too much to ignore.

When we enter these update discussions, there is a lot we take into account. We go through the game film, have numerous background discussions, and pour into the advanced analytics, but probably the most important piece for us in these updates is live viewings.

Each of these four players was consistently at the top of their game over the recent months. No matter the setting or the competition, they competed and they produced.

Aaron Bradshaw

Height/Weight: 7-1/205
School: Camden (NJ) High
Committed: Kentucky
Ranking: No. 1

Aaron Bradshaw moved to be the new No. 1 player in the 2023 On3 150. The 7-foot-1 center is an advanced rim protector with mobility, pop, and shooting upside. He averaged 11.5 points while shooting 57.9 percent from the field. He blocked 2.2 shots per game and averaged 3.0 offensive rebounds through Nike’s EYBL Circuit this Summer.

Ja’Kobe Walter

Height/Weight: 6-6/185
School: Branson (MO) Link Academy
Committed: Baylor
Ranking: No. 10

Ja’Kobe Walter brings positional size, along with a lot of confidence and shot-making. In a time when wings who can create and shoot are incredibly valuable in basketball, Walter spent the Summer and early Fall showcasing just that. He followed up his 21.3 points during the Adidas 3SSB Circuit as one of the top performers at the Wootten Top 150 Camp.

Stephon Castle

Height/Weight: 6-5/185
School: Covington (GA) Newton High
Committed: UConn
Ranking: No. 11

Stephon Castle was as consistent of a standout as there was on the UAA Next Circuit this Summer. The 6-foot-5 Castle toggled between primary initiator and wing finisher, all the while showcasing versatility and competitive nature. Castle averaged 16.5 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Atlanta Xpress, and then he followed that up with an outstanding performance at the October USA Basketball Junior Minicamp.

Sean Stewart

Height/Weight: 6-8/230
School: Montverde (FL) Academy
Committed: Duke
Ranking: No. 12

Kawhi Leonard coined a phrase a couple of years ago that went, ‘board man gets paid.’ Sean Stewart is a premier rebounder, quite possibly the premier rebounder in high school basketball. At 6-foot-8, he is relentless in and out of his area, and he uses his strength and explosive pop to simply go and get the ball. Stewart finished second on this Summer’s u17 USA Basketball gold medal winning team in blocked shots (1.3) and rebounds (7.0) per game.
