WATCH: 2024 4-star LB TJ Capers makes a huge hit
Miami Columbus four-star linebacker TJ Capers is one of the top recruit in the 2024 cycle. He also showed Thursday night that he is a player to be reckoned with.
While playing Miami Northwestern, Capers found the Northwestern ball carrier in open space. He then slammed him to the ground with a massive hit.
Capers is the No. 6 overall prospect and No. 1 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Florida.
The 6-foot-1.5, 230 pound prospect has received 17 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very close race for his commitment. Miami currently leads for Capers’ pledge at 29.9%. Florida has the next-best chance at 26.2%, while Michigan State has the third-best odds at 22.5%.

Capers has already taken multiple visits this fall. He was at Florida on Sept. 3 for the Gators’ season-opener and in Miami a week later. The four-star will be at Michigan State this weekend for an unofficial visit.
Capers has an On3 NIL Valuation of $146K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
