A week ago, Duncanville (Texas) four-star guard Anthony Black wasn’t eligible to play high school basketball becuase of a transfer controversy.

But a temporary restraining order has allowed him to suit for the time being.

Black is making the most of his time on the country, and delivered one of the best dunks of the early high school season in the Lone Star State.

With Black set up in the left corner, Duncanville’s ballhandler dribbles from the top of the key towards the 6-foot-6 combo guard. As soon as the ballhandlers heads towards him, Black cuts backdoor along the baseline.

The ballhandler throws an alley oop to the streaking Black, who catches at about rim height with one hand and then throws it home.

Anthony Black is the No. 23 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the third-best recruit who has not committed to any school.

Black is considering taking his talent to Arkansas, Georgia, Gonzaga, Memphis, Oklahoma State and TCU.

But he is also considering the professional route with the G-League Ignite. Black told On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton that it is an option he is considering.

“That’s just like living basketball,” Anthony Black said. “Being a profession right now. Just train and get a lot better. I think my mom would be happy for me. She knows how important development is for me, and how much better I need to get. I believe she would be okay with that decision.”
