The annual football game between the Army Black Knights and Navy Midshipmen it’s starting to get a little dicey between the two teams. The game has been hard-fought and back and forth throughout the first half, with the Black Knight taking a 13-7 lead into halftime. But before the half was over, there was one play in particular that caught the eyes of those watching.

In the first half of the game, Navy linebacker Diego Fagot rose a few eyebrows after this tackle on Army running back Anthony Adkins. After the play was whistled dead, Adkins attempted to get up from the tackle; but Fagot held firmly onto his ankle as he tried to get up. The Black Knights sophomore running back attempted to twist and turn his way out of the hold but was unsuccessful. Army Offensive lineman Jordyn Law helped wrestle Adkins foot away from Fagot. But once his foot was free, Adkins fell back on the floor, grabbing at his ankle in pain.

Army vs. Navy predictions, best bets via CBS Sports:

First, CBS Sports focused on the spread — Army is favored by seven points over Navy. Additionally, the over-under has been set at a modest 35 points.

If you’re thinking of betting the money-line, the Black Knights won’t pay as well — going off at -292 at the moment. On the other side of the field, Navy could make you some quick money, as they’re going off at +233, according to CBS Sports.

Moreover, CBS Sports adds that the total has gone under in five of Army’s last five games against the Midshipmen. Additionally, Navy is 4-1 against the spread in those games — beating Vegas even if they weren’t beating Army.

As for Army, CBS Sports believes the Black Knights can cover due to their prolific rushing attack. Also, the Midshipmen’s inability to find consistent offense could play well in Army’s favor.

Still, CBS Sports isn’t completely counting out Navy. Surprisingly, they revealed that Navy has soundly been one of the better teams against the spread thus far in 2021. Due to their likeliness to run the football, CBS Sports believes the running clock could help the Midshipmen keep it close.

In what’s always one of the top games of the season, Army and Navy means more than just football. Still, a game will be played — there’s plenty to enjoy, and plenty of bets to be made on America’s Game.
