WATCH: Lane Kiffin trolls Tennessee, Kirby Smart with College GameDay pick
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin joined College GameDay to make picks and cause chaos. After giving some credit – or blame – to his son who helped make the picks, he could not help trolling some friends and rivals. While backing “Touchdown Jesus” and his own Ole Miss Rebels, Lane Kiffin picked unranked Tennessee over No. 1 Georgia.
“Kirby Smart called me this week and said, ‘you know we gotta go play at Tennessee, what’s it like going to Neyland Stadium,’” Lane Kiffin joked on the College GameDay set. “I said, ‘it is a very dangerous place to play.’ But I will say this – in the biggest upset of the day – Tennessee Volunteers.”
“That’s the upset of the year, not the day,” responded Kirk Herbstreit. “That’s a great pick,” added Lee Corso.

ESPN’s College GameDay brought the party and the bowties this weekend, traveling to Oxford, Mississippi for a huge SEC showdown between Texas A&M and Ole Miss. The energy was palpable and the tailgating was legendary, as the Rebels faithful let the world hear their pride.
Many wanted Katy Perry to return to Oxford as this week’s guest picker. After she revealed she wouldn’t be able to make it to the set, she unveiled a suitable replacement — Lane Kiffin.
Before the Rebels coach takes the field against Texas A&M, he joined the College GameDay crew on set. With the anticipation reaching its zenith, Kiffin, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit made their picks for another exciting Saturday slate.
Texas A&M at Ole Miss: “I’m really concerned about Matt Corral’s ankle issue. I’m going to go Aggies over Ole Miss,” stated Howard, picking the Aggies.
“I can’t pick against myself — Ole Miss Rebels!” said Kiffin, of course.
After harkening back to the time he picked against Ole Miss and Katy Perry made him pay for it, Corso wouldn’t make the same mistake again. Today, Corso chose the Ole Miss helmet while picking the Rebels.
Minnesota at Iowa: “Went to high school in Minnesota — Golden Gophers,” stated Kiffin. Herbstreit agrees with Kiffin, while Howard and Corso are with the Hawkeyes.
