WATCH: Taylor Heinicke hilariously costs Washington Football Team touchdown

Washington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke celebrated what he thought was a touchdown on Sunday with a Lambeau Leap. However, the referees ruled him short as his knee came down with the ball shy of the goal line.

Heinicke bizarrely dove with defenders still strides away, causing confusion about whether he was diving or giving himself up.

With fourth down and a yard to go, the Washington Football Team called for a QB sneak. Heinicke dove for it, fumbling the ball. He recovered it but was still short of the endzone.

The 2-4 Football Team fell to 2-5 with the 24-10 loss to Green Bay.

After rating out perfectly on his first drive of the game, Taylor Heinicke finished 25 of 37 with 268 yards and one score. He also rushed the ball 10 times for 95 yards. In comparison, Aaron Rodgers passed for 27 of 35 for 274 yards and three scores.

Heinicke connects with Terry McClaurin

Terry McLaurin wowed on his the drive for WFT on Sunday versus the Packers. After the Packers scored on their opening possession, Washington drove right down the field and immediately answered.

Taylor Heinicke looked McLaurin’s way early and often, and each of his three pass attempts on the drive went to McLaurin. He caught three balls for 58 yards, with the third coming in the end zone.

Heinicke dropped back before launching a ball to around the goal line, where McLaurin made an impressive adjustment, leaping to go up and get the pass. The play went for a 40-yard touchdown, which tied the game at 7-7. Washington’s opening possession was good for eight plays, 83 yards and the score, taking 4:45 off the clock.
