Which schools have reached out to Maryland transfer James Graham?
Maryland freshman James Graham entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in December after only appearing in only one game this season.
Graham played in Maryland’s season-opener against Quinnipiac, where he scored two points in only five minutes of action. Following that game, Graham was not with the team for two games, due to a violation of team rules.
“I just wanna say Thanks to the University of Maryland for the time here!” Graham said on Twitter. “Again thanks to everyone who has supported me. I wish continued success to ALL the Terps. I love each and everyone of my teammates and I’m really sad I won’t get a chance to enjoy this ride with them. I wish them all the best.”
Less than 24 hours after announcing his transfer, Maryland announced they would be parting ways with the Terps’ head basketball coach, Mark Turgeon.
Since entering the portal, the Milwaukee native has heard from several schools.
Iowa State, Tennessee State, New Mexico, California Baptist, Loyola Marymount, and Austin Peay are recruiting Graham, he tells On3.
The 6-foot-8 small forward graduated high school early and enrolled early at Maryland as a 17-year-old.
James Graham was considered a four-star recruit coming out of high school. After receiving 20+ scholarship offers, he chose Maryland over Auburn, Florida State, Indiana, Memphis, Michigan State, Oregon, Wisconsin, and others.
