Texas A&M gained some serious momentum on the recruiting trail in the aftermath of the Maroon & White Game, landing three commits in the span of three days, surging up to the No. 6 recruiting class in the country in the 2023 cycle. Red-hot on the trail, the Aggies don’t look to slow down anytime soon. Here’s a look at five targets that could be next to join the Aggies’ class.

Malik Muhammad – Muhammad appears to be in the backstretch of his recruitment, trending towards making a decision sooner rather than later. After hosting the four-star for the Maroon & White Game and landing a commitment from Muhammad’s teammate, four-star cornerback Jayvon Thomas, Texas A&M has reason to believe they lead for Muhammad, the No. 5 cornerback in the country per the On3 Consensus. The four-star is considering Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami, and LSU, among others, in addition to the Aggies. If a commitment were

Adam Hopkins – The Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central four-star wideout is set to make it down to College Station later this month for an official visit and very well could opt to shut down. Florida State remains heavily involved, but the Aggies have seriously surged recently. Though Hopkins projects to be a wideout at the next level, he has some intriguing potential as a defensive back as well.

Javien Toviano – After hosting Toviano, the No. 4 cornerback in the country, on two visits in three days, Texas A&M has taken the lead for the four-star per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives the Aggies a 29% chance to land the Arlington (Tex.) Martin junior. Toviano will look to make a decision ahead of his senior season, but could look to move up his timeline even sooner, the Aggies look to be in favorable position to beat out Texas, Oklahoma, LSU and Georgia, among other schools heavily involved in his recruitment.

T.J Shanahan – Texas A&M might be the school to beat for Austin (Tex.) Westlake four-star offensive lineman TJ Shanahan, who’s visited College Station a couple times already this offseason. Outside of the Aggies, the biggest competition appears to be out-of-state, whether that’s LSU or a school closer to Florida, where Shanahan originally hails from. Texas Tech is an in-state school still involved as well. Texas A&M will look to get Shanahan back on campus at least once more this offseason, looking to lock him down ahead of his senior season. The Aggies hold an overwhleming lead for Shanahan in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), with a 86.3% chance to land the four-star out of Austin.

Harris Sewell – Sewell’s recruitment appears to be a little more competitive in-state compared to Shanahan but A&M has to feel good about where they sit right now. The four-star made his way down to College Station earlier this month coming off a recent visit to Texas the week prior. The Longhorns appear to be the biggest competitior in Sewell’s recruitment right now and this might be one of the more contentious battles between the two in-state rivals this cycle. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine states the Aggies lead for Sewell, with a 28.6.1% to land the junior out of Odessa (Tex.) Permian, slightly ahead of Clemson and Texas.
